Falcon now without C3PO was it a dumb purchase?

By bmwrider, in X-Wing

And then there's my favorite:

Outer Rim Smuggler

+ Anti-Pursuit Lasers

+ Intelligence Agent

+ Navigator

.-=33=-.

Seriously, try this out. Force your opponent to run into you every turn by adjusting your dial with navigator. You know where they're going with the IA, after all. In addition to all the normal benefits of constantly blocking your opponent, you also damage them every turn :D

Push the Limit, Jan Ors crew and Kyle Katarn will give you the same effect as 3PO+Evade, although you lose some mobility and access to Gunner, but gain an extra action each turn, allowing you to Boost, Target Lock or Focus in addition to your Evade action and the Evade token you get from Kyle and Jan.

3PO is the best upgrade you can put on a Falcon after the MF title, being honest, but the Falcon doesn't become unplayable without it.

Since your Falcon is broken without C-3PO, can I have it?

Cheers

Won't work against Academy Pilots with initiative. Other than that, three of those result in a lot of fun. The opponent might hate you, but who cares.

As you say, 3 of these leave you at 99 points. If the academy pilots have initiative here, they're not the top-of-the-line :)

You get to roll for a 50% chance to damage them every turn, but it's not a guarantee. Which is sad, because I always liked the concept of APL, but it just never works out in practice when you can't control your dice rolls.
