As we edge ever closer to possibly starting to perhaps play the first provisional game of our new Dark Heresy campaign I am in search of a snappy title for the series. The first campaign revolved around Acolytes in the service of the puritanical Inquisitor, Mordant Crimson, and was named “Tales of the Crimson Acolytes”. I like to title my games (and even game sessions where possible) as I think it helps create and reinforce the mood, themes and identity of the campaign. The previous game included seven players, playing eight characters between them, but never all at the same time – and the game title inferred the anthology style game with a fluctuating group that typified the game itself.
This new campaign focuses on a group of mercenaries (initially with a core of two regular characters but as with the previous campaign I'm expecting other players to drop in and out as the game goes on).
One is a wise cracking rogue and member of the Brotherhood of Thollos (based on the Marvel comics character Deadpool....) while the other is an ex-Imperial guardsman from a Feral world who has a preference for blowing things up. Initially they will be working for no single master other than personal wealth and will start out on a teaming Hive world with hints of Romano-Greco classical culture.
We’ve a had a few ideas but nothing that has really *grabbed* me as yet.
Puns, word play and pop culture references are encouraged...
