Maneuver Tool

By DWRR, in Star Wars: Armada Rules Questions

Just pondering...

Do you have to bend the tool the full click on each joint if performing a yaw or are you allowed bend the joint any amount up to the click

Or to put it another way... Can you make a really shallow turn by not bending the tool the full amount allowed on a single click yaw?

It might be minimal degrees of change but could make the difference between landing in asteroids or not...

To be clear here I'm not talking about a ship allowed to make 2 turns only making one, I'm talking about a ship only allowed to make one turn making an even more shallow turn...

Since the rules say "click the tool a number of times", I think you're supposed to do full clicks.

There are only 5 positions per joint.

No you can't try and set it half way between 'clicks'

As convenient as this would be, it's all or nothing. Been plenty of times I would have rather done a slight course correction, but rather am forced to crank the steering wheel as hard as I can.

Imagine if cars worked like that? :o
