First attempt at painting, Check.

By Fortold, in Star Wars: Armada

Hey Y'all,

just wanted to say thanks to all the tips posted around the forums, they helped tremendously from color choices and wash to general how to. obviously, not perfect but if you go with an RP mindset of they're in a hurry throwing paint on these things it looks good. LOL. secondly, these are close in and can see many of the imperfections, standing or sitting at a table height they looked pretty rad IMHO

caps got a wash and touch up on the red lines (orange engine flare for corvette as well)

X-Wings got a wash than high light colors. (red/grey/blue/black/orange, and the wash was 50/50 nuln oil)

Be Gentle.

oh, wow didnt see the syringe right there in the second picture. used it for 50/50 split of the wash its for insulin!

Insulin....yeah, sure....

Nice work!

Looks good. Keep up the painting.

In the first shot as well ;)

Very nice work on the X-wings especially for a first timer !!

So if you inject yourself with the needle, do you DYE a little inside?

(i am a horrible person)

That's funny - my cat had a recent brush with death, and the vets gave her a bunch of needleless syringes filled with meds to stick in her mouth - I've just started using the empties for painting purposes.

off topic here but jeez, I use 5mm microfine needles with a novo nordisk penfill I refill with ampulles, my little brother uses disposable flex pens. is medical tech and healthcare really that bad over there outside of europe that you need actuall syringes? I always thought that was just american series being hilariously behind the times by several decades.

My father uses disposables too, my family has a pretty strong disposition towards type 1 diabetes ( that is the auto immune one not the fat/old one for those inquisitive minds here)

Um, no. We have those pens here in the States also.
