Captain O with Ysanne, rebel captive, determination.

Royal Guard with PTL X 2.

I like to run 2 Bombers with this ship.. usually Kenkirk with some defense.. Moff JerJ, and 2 crew I can afford to lose. Determination saved me from a loss in a tourney when I pulled 3 crits for the last round of the game.. I flipped 3 pilot crits and the other guy bout came over the table.. especially after I shot down his last ship right after that.. hahahah

that's 2 bombers with prox mines BTW.. 19 points of fun and good hull..

Who/what did you run with Kenkirk? I tried Kenkirk once and his ability never seemed to work for me. That was just one game though. I like the point cost of Captain O and his ability but maybe I need to give Kenkirk a second chance.

it's a fun build and the looks I've gotten when I can toss away those crits.. too much fun..

I've seen Kenkirk paired very effectively with Ysanne Isard; the two abilities give the Decimator good defense once wounded. I've seen that combination used more effectively than the various Rear Admiral builds I've seen. YMMV. That is 48 points so it only leaves a 2-point upgrade with the two Royal Guard TIEs as configured -- Lone Wolf would be my 2-point recommendation for the remainder.

(I'd personally dump one RGT to upgrade the other to a maxxed-out 36-pt Soontir Fel and free up more upgrades for Kenkirk -- Isard, Engine Upgrade, Gunner, Rebel Captive, Lone Wolf, Seismic Charge being my preferred choices to pair with SF).

Mainly because I intend to push the crew out the air lock.. I dont want anyone that I'll second guess on or try to weigh the odds on.. I want to be able to see the crit and then snap decision to toss the crew..

This is what I call my Defensimator, and it does ok. Both tourneys I used it in I ended up middle of the pack.. I had close games on the third games, but went 2 and 2 in this last one, and the first one I brought it to I went 2/2/1 the only tie in the tourney.. that tie was against a good dual aggressor list, the first I had ever faced.. and ... for me.. it's a fun list to run.

I have a stripped down version that gives the VT49 a proton bomb and just the crew, both bombers still have prox mines and hull upgrades.. I think I'll drop the hull upgrades for 3 extra munitions to give each ship 2 bombs/mines.. that should be a hoot to run hahah

I've played Oicunn with dauntless, determination and mara jade with two PtL + autothrustors saber squints with some success. It's a bare bones Oicunn build but if you ram him into an enemy formation and get them stressed then they'll have a hard time turning around to shoot at you.

If you insist on ptl royal guards (without autothrustors) then you can spend the last two points on anti-pursuit lasers for Oicunn and make him even more daunting.
