Defender players should appreciate this. The rest of you can scoff at will... ![]()
I guess i decided not to jump on anyones bandwagon, to fly casual, and go ahead and build this list to its competetive peak. Assuming I go to worlds I will probably still fly it or a version thereof.
Anyway, this is my current list after some 6 games on Vassal and a couple on the table.
Vessery
-HLC
-Outmaneuver
-Engine Upgrade
Omnicron Group
-Intelligence Agent
-Fleet Officer
-ST321
-Advanced Sensors
Alpha Squadron
-Autothrusters
=100
This list is SO fun to play.
Action economy is great. Lots of firepower. Cards used that noone ever sees.
Bottom line here that the shuttle is doing what it was designed to do...SUPPORT! Even though it may not be able to turn and shoot after the first pass it still presents a threat. Lending Focus, target locks for Vessery/HLC, and intel. It is a hella force multiplier.
Alpha can tank every turn w/evade,focus and AT.
vessery simply fires every turn with focuslocked HLC. Often after barrel Rolling OR boosting for position.
Deployment is best when hugging an edge so the shuttle cannot be outmaneuvered. Defender almost touching the side edge to protect it...if they go after the defender in joust mode...make sure they face all of your guns and leave vessery at longer range for extra defence.
Pick a target at the beginning of the game and lock it with ST321. After that...distribute focus to the fighters. Destroy your target and move on to the next.
STAY AT RANGE with Defender. He is key and has NO reason to close...keep close to your support though.
High PS arc dodging is an issue b/c of lack of PS and turrets. Intel Agent is there to shore this up. We will see how it works in future games.
Anyway...thanks for reading. Thoughts and critique are welcome/encouraged!
