3 Whispers in top 8 and not one with gunner. That's even more surprising than 3 Whisper's IMO.

I haven't seen it mentioned, but maybe it's buried somewhere in here.

With all the different countries having regionals I haven't seen anything about Japan being mentioned

As far as I'm aware there are people in Japan playing xwing.

Do they not have O.P tournament there?

I'm really curious as I'm in the midst of selling my house and hopefully moving to Osaka.

I know people here have posted there is a community there, but I don't recall seeing any tournament talk from there

Quick question, maybe this was discussed somewhere else already, but is there an easy way to export official FFG tournament software into list juggler? Minds in Chicago want to know. :-) thanks!


No. The best you can do is manually recreate it in Cryodex, and that assumes that you have the round by round results with point scores. Even then you won't know if a game went to time.

Oh boy. Was talking to the TO today. i guess he has some long nights head of him to enter everything :(

The real question is: does the TO still even have the full round by round results? At Monroeville we couldn't get back into the tournament the following day, and although we had printouts for each round, the printouts by unfortunate coincidence had not been printed with the scores for each round, only who won and loss. You can get the points per round, but we lost access to that data.

Are there plans to import FFG data?

I'm not sure, ask sozin - the problem is getting a consistent output that you can use. You would to manually generate an html output for each round that includes the points.

Minor correction about the Chicago Regionals results listed in the OP- The winning list had a wild space fringer, not Eaden Vrill

Yes, though I just checked, I had WSF listed, right? I did put it wrong in my TC blog and the FFG forum post, which I fixed. Been flying Eaden for too long. :P

I can't speak for Osaka, but I've been living in Tokyo for a few months and there's no official tournaments here. Outside of the military bases there's a very small scene and one hobby store that only just had its second casual tournament the other week.

every two or three weeks I ask FFG for access to the beta software, or, lacking that, a sample output file. sad to report no progress yet :-(

For the San Diego Regional Top 8 my list was:

Y-Wing: Kavil. (VI, Auto Blaster Turret, Unhinged mech, Bomb Loadout, Seismic Charge). 30.

Y-Wing: Thug. (Auto Blaster Turret, Unhinged mech, Bomb Loadout, Seismic Charge). 23.

Went 5-1 in the Swiss rounds ending up 8th seed, the only loss being in round 6 to Brandon's Dual IG (it was an atypical B-C build with Avd Sens, PTL, Auto-Thrusters, Mangler on B, HLC on C) which I knew was going to give me problems. He went 6-0 and placed 1st seed...meaning I had to face him again; and lose again.

Congrats! And keep fighting that meta! I won a (small) regional with YBBAZ (or BABYZ, giggle), sadly no one but the 21 people I crushed noticed (but boy, did they notice!)
