I only saw one turret in the top table stream, and that was the finals. The top list went from XXYZ to Tie Swarm back to XXYZ.

If there were a lot of Falcons, only one did well.

He's such a @#%^ing monster. An all around great player.

His only loss is to Dallas Parker, not exactly a beginner, and he took his revenge in semi-finals.

Besides his flawless flying, I think the squad is really well-thought :

Draw their fire (with Biggs & R2D2) is amazing vs. the fairly common crits in this Meta (Chiranneau, Mangler, Vader)

Wedge has a very decent end-game in 1-on-1, negating C3PO for example. And that's a rare thing for a 4-rebel list to 'have an end-game'.

And of course it makes me happy to see a --legitimately-- winning list with 63 points of x-wings.

He's probably played more games of high level competition this regionals season than I have played games of X-wing ever. You could make a game out of "Six degrees of Richard Hsu", but it wouldn't be a game, because 90% of X-wing players have met him.

The winner of the Calgary Regional was playing Brobots against IG-88B plus 2 Ys. The match ended with both IG-88Bs blowing each other up simultaneously and the dual IG player won due to having initiative.

Played against Hsu and that list at the KC regional a few weeks ago. I flew terribly, I'd gotten my first core set exactly 4 weeks previously so noob is an understatement (although I did finish 14th) However I still think he would've ate my Han and Corran list for lunch. Glad he got one, really nice guy and gave me some good advice about things I could have done differently.

Clearly the time to nerf X-Wings has come.

They split the event over both days, and the cut to the top 32 (single elimination) started at 5pm PST, today. So it's still going to be a while before we know anything....

When we left it was Dash/Corran vs. Oicunn/Patrol Leader+Vader and Han/WSF vs. Airen+Z swarm w/ missiles in the top 4, I believe.

Airen+Z swarm "Headtrauma" is facing double decis in the final. I'm not there but awaiting word from my friend who flies the Zs
