Here's the Top 8 from Legnano, Italy

Louis,

Is this with the 50 minute rounds you were telling me about or did they increase it?

50 mins, confirmed, plus the time needed to end the last turn. And with very little time for setup too, which means that a lot of games were actually closer to 45 than 50.

2 out of my 5 games went to time, but i noticed that EVERYONE was playing really fast because of the time limit.

Luckyly slowplaying is not a issue here in Italy :D

Top 4: 2x Mandalorian Mercenary + Heavy Laser Cannon + Predator + Feedback Array + Recon Specialist

I might need to buy another firespray. I like lists that are just simple like that. Anyone know which top 2 knocked him out?

Suddenly, I like the idea of K-turning a Firespray.

K-Turning a Firespray is an excellent way to surprise an opponent :D

Major, will you be running stats on Regional results as related to American locations versus the rest of the world once all the data are compiled?

How many non-turrets have won in the US? Maybe I should ask how many non-turret and non-bro bots lists won in the US?

Why is it that Europe always has the better meta?

Austin, TX was won by a Firespray+IG88 Manitoba had a dual-phantom win. Maybe we can absorb some of that meta by osmosis?

I think the Atlantic would constitute the necessary semipermeable membrane

Or maybe since we have 2 more months of regionals, we can see it even out some.

Just a note. The tournament rules do not allow for rounds under 60 minutes. They recommend 75 and allow TOs to vary by up or down up to 15 minutes.

They're using the metric system over there in italy ;)

I was the #2 seed at Roseville MN, and was knocked out first round of top 8 by the 2nd place overall list.

My full list was:

Corran Horn (35)

-Push the Limit (3)

-Fire-Control System (2)

-R2-D2 (4)

-Engine Upgrade (4)

"Leebo" (34)

-Lone Wolf (2)

-Heavy Laser Cannon (7)

-Chewbacca (4)

-Outrider (5)

Total 100

An absolutely amazing day of games, my only two losses (and only lost ships on the day) were to the #1 and #2 overall finishers. For the first time I can recall while playing this game, I was actively cursing my red dice. Over six rounds of shooting from Leebo in my top 8 match, I got a total of 7 hits after modification, dealing 1 shield of damage in total. Corran fought a bit harder, taking a few more shields with him, but withered under literally perfect red dice from my opponent.

Hummmm,....

I am missing a pair of red dice. By the rolls you describe, I think you might have them.

I'd like to use this time to shamelessly plug the live stream and expansion giveaway for our Atlanta Regional this weekend:

>>> very interesting list. EU on omicron helps get quality shots, lets it block more easily when it needs to block and lets it get out of trouble when it needs to zoom out of combat. nice.

Top 4 in Atlanta has 3 dual IG's. Other list is ps10 chirpy and Fel.

Edit: One of the lists is either exactly or extremely similar to Terminators. HLC outmaneuver fcs dampeners I think.

The first Dutch Regionals, held at Tabletop Kingdoms in The Hague, had 26 players in attendance. 5 rounds of Swiss and cut to Top 8. First (also first after Swiss) was RAC Predator Gunnner Isard Captive Engine + Soontir PtL Autothrusters Stealth. Second was a dual IG list. I believe there were four dual IGs in the Top 8, and the same RAC/Soontir list came second in the Swiss to lose the Top 8 game against dual IGs. The TO promised to publish full results on List Juggler.

Congratulations Morgan!

Morgan can correct me if I'm wrong, but it looked as though the final of the QLD Regionals was a rematch of the final of the Australian Nationals last year!

unfortunately :(

Good pickup! Yes - The QLD Regional final was a rematch of the 2014 Aus Nationals!

Chris Haak is a strong player and he beat me in Swiss but I managed to fight back and win in the final. A good game against a good opponent!

Had a similar situation at my first tournament. I refuse to believe that Deroche is the Morgan Reid of Louisville, KY.
