2015 Regionals Results

By MajorJuggler, in X-Wing

The last italian regional had around 43 people attending and has been won by a 3 ships rebel list featuring

-a naked Biggs

-VI, FCS, R2-D2 Corran Horn

-VI,PTL,prockets, autothruster Jake Farrel

The champion beated a Dash+3Zs of which I do ignore the specifics, a Decifel in the semi and a BBYY in the top8

I wasn't there thus this all that I know

A slight variation on the Nathan build, I was wondering if wed see more

If the whole biggs and corran thing catches on, I wonder if that gives any better chance of a regen nerf. I already feel it's OP as it is on ewings, mainly high PS ewings like corran, but then you add in biggs so you can take some damage with corran, then regen it while biggs comes in to take the damage in the meantime, that's just brutal.

Nerf? Come on. Hardly

problem is regen isn't OP

regen is basically damage cancellation with a bit of a flourish. Unless you give the E several turns with which to green maneuver with impunity, it's basically the same as having another evade (only it won't save you at all on the turn you die, but on the plus side you don't need an action to use it)

not to mention ionization ***** all over R2-d2 (droid)

It's a really tough build to play, you have to have a great understanding of spacing to use it, e wings can die in a turn with bad green dice

Salzburg in Austria (it's listed as Germany in the opening post, I guess since the ticket is for the german Nationals) was won by Han and Jake (regular 97 points build).

Place two went to Brobots, one with HLC, one with Mangler, both with AS, Predator, Title and Thrusters (as far as I remember).

About 50 people showed up.

Went 9th myself with Chewie and Leebo, it was a blast to play. Was my first tournament so far after getting into the hobby three months ago, so I was really suprised going 5-1 with the highest MOV overall (1037/1200 points). First round in top 16 I faced BBBBZ and probably played my worst game of the whole weekend while my opponent played just great. He was a really nice guy, and since I went further than expected I had no hard feelings loosing 78:100 and grapping a nice set of hull tokens :)

I hope to see you all at the next regional event in Christchurch: Saturday August 1st 2015 at the St Albans Shirley Club, 269 Hills Road, Christchurch, New Zealand 8013.
Doors open at 8am for Setup - if you can lend a hand on the day that would be great as the venue is booked the night before so we can't get in to get tables sorted until the morning!
Registration should be up and running by 8:30 with sign in closing at 9am so we can get going as fast as possible and get a longer lunch break in.
We have the venue until late and can possibly hold the Top 2 in the bar if we run out of time so plan for a late finish (Midnight?)
Fly Safe!

Did anyone post a listing of results from San Diego? I didn't see it on the first page nor in the last couple of pages, it was merely talked about in reference.

We used Cryodex, so I'm almost certain it will be on List Juggler either today or tomorrow.

I was the Top 8 Dash/Corran build:

Dash - Predator, Recon Specialist, HLC, Title

Corran - VI, FCS, R2D2, EU

Ok, I'll keep waiting for it to go up. Just wanting to see the top 8 builds and player breakdowns.

Hi, just posted my report on the store championship that happened here in the extreme south of Brazil 8 days ago. You can read it here .

Quick question, maybe this was discussed somewhere else already, but is there an easy way to export official FFG tournament software into list juggler? Minds in Chicago want to know. :-) thanks!

No. The best you can do is manually recreate it in Cryodex, and that assumes that you have the round by round results with point scores. Even then you won't know if a game went to time.

Minor correction about the Chicago Regionals results listed in the OP- The winning list had a wild space fringer, not Eaden Vrill

Oh boy. Was talking to the TO today. i guess he has some long nights head of him to enter everything :( Are there plans to import FFG data?

Yes, though I just checked, I had WSF listed, right? I did put it wrong in my TC blog and the FFG forum post, which I fixed. Been flying Eaden for too long. :P
