Was going to pick up a playmat at last, not sure which of the two to get. The Yavin one is definitely prettier, but it makes every battle, well, at Yavin. The Starfield one's more universal but also not as pretty.

Buy what you like.

I prefer the Starfield for less clutter and distraction while playing, but YMMV.

I have the starfield one. I'm of the opinion that less is more, plus its the models that are the stars of the show.The playing surface is secondary to me.

I bought a star field mat and am very happy. Yavin is Yavin, it would get old quick for me. Same with the mats I've seen with rocks on em. Less is more.

I was going to get the Starfield one, but my friend got Yavin. It looks AMAZING. I was so happy with it, that I bought it off him. It looks really good. I was surprised.

I got the Yavin one and it looks fantastic. If you're looking for a plain mat, you may as well just use a yoga mat. IIt's cheap and is a fantastic playing surface.

I like Both. The star field gets used more as i think it looks better by its self but the Yavin one looks really good for epic and armada when next to the star feild

I bought both. They both look great and now I can combine the 2 for 3'x6' EPIC. Best of all worlds.

I prefer the starfield pattern. It's far less limiting to your imagination than the Death Star @ Yavin IV pattern.
