Mono Tactics Paired Decks?

By Aaron Youngren, in Strategy and deck-building

Anyone experimented with pairing two mono-tactics decks? It seems like with so many ways to interact with the staging area, questing might finally be do-able? The only unsolvable problem seems like treachery cancellation to me. At least those decks be fun against the HoN quests, right? Just off the top of my head, Mablung/T-Aragorn/T-Boromir, Merry/Beregond/Legolas on the other?

You could also play Trained for War many times, with 3 copies each plus 3 copies each of Book of Eldacar.

You'd probably want to run Theoden for the huge willpower boost. Depending on the quest, I might also do Thalin and focus on direct damage.

Yes looks like it is possible at the moment.

Yes, I do think so.
Theoden´s will power boost plus Legolas-Arod-Blade of Gondolin might actually do enought progress.

Throw Gandalf in the mix and you good to go.

With Theoden in play Merry (plus Halfling determination) or Mablung or even he himself or Aragorn quests fo 3.

Use quick strikes and hands upon the bow to kill enemies before resolving the quest. (Maybe recycle with Hama).

Or the afformentioned trained for war recycled by the book or Hama.

I have actually experimented with hama in a mono-tactic deck for card draw. I use foe hammer and get it back for card draw, the only card draw tactics has.

Until now!! Enter ally Legolas.

your right. I just realized that.

Also remember that Arod can even help with location control a little. I like the idea of recycling trained for war with Hama. However, I think the biggest problem with any red questing deck is that you never want to quest with the heroes because they are so good in combat. You need some allies for pure questing.

I think Legolas hero wll be rrally less popular now, cause Legolas ally is so cool for mono tactics decks

Well, I can't wait to try to make these decks, but for now, my son (7) won't let us stop playing with our Dúnedain build (Mablung/Halbarad/TAragorn, Beregond/Haldir/Idraen). It's so much fun!
