How do people even know that the hull points and attack dice are for the falcon if it's not out yet? I'm
New to these kinds of games so I really don't know. Is it posted somewhere what all the new ship stats will be?

Do we know the price of the falcon?
IF yes, lets do a proper comparison
If no, lets not jump to conclusions
I believe FFG learned well from their worst ******* mistake in X-wing miniatures, and as a single "squadron" and actually following the respective rules (minus rogue) it isn't even close to the idiocy that it is in X-wing
Plus, 7 hull is nothing. A single squadron command (activating before "rogue") with 3+ x-wings will rip that stupid thing in half
Base YT-1300 looks to be 11 points, so depending on what Han+Grit+Rouge does say the 18 to 25 range possibly a little more (it is Han and the falcon).
I immagine rouge gives it a nice blush effect.

thankfully you didn't write grit as girth. I am rogueish enough to have made quite some jokes. ![]()
Personally I am more concerned about the Firespray.
1 Less hull but 2 blue dice vs ship and according to the text we see, it has Bomber keyword! And unlike the generic yt-1300 the generic firespray has Rogue keyword too. Depending of the speed it could be a very dangerous starfighter.
But it seem to cost more points too (20? instead of 15?)
Honestly I think that the Rogue's are my favorite part of wave 2.
The other ships are cool. But I know what my first buy will be.

I blame the iOS auto-correct!!!

20 is hefty
I assume FFG's taking the Corrupter title and Rhymer into account, though.
Happy with the rebel ships, yes even the Falcon!
Not happy with the Imperial ships, I would have much preferred that they actually be Imperials, not mercenaries. Oh for some Lambdas, Decimators, Skiprays and Gozantis!
Problem with the Lambdas is that they're already a stretch in X-wing
could you imagine a squadron of Lambdas rolling around the table?
"Shuttle Tiberion, yeherium, buybeerium, steaksteerium, barreloboozerium...and others, what is your cargo and destination?"
"Nuthin' but-a couple-a badasses cowboys looking fer-a good time--YEHAW!"
and then they obliterate the rebel fleet and celebrate with cold beer, until they remember they're flying shuttles and won't be able to turn around and rejoin the main fleet for about ten years
Edited by ficklegreendiceNot a fan of Decimators. Not sure why imperials had to have an answer to a YT-1300, which is a rare sight in this era anyways. It just felt too tacked on. Star Wars Galaxies was it's first appearance (I played the crap out of that game until Sony took a giant **** on it.) Any loaf that Sony pinches off onto the Star Wars universe is going to give me pause.
Skiprays are cool, but I always felt they were more of pirate/independent style vessel. Never felt very 'imperial' to me. Guess I'm old fashioned
I like my Imperial fighters to start with TIE .... ![]()
I would like Lambdas . . . they weren't really meant for direct combat, although I know that they were bristling with guns. I think the escort shuttle would be more appropriate in a game like this. It's based on the lambda, but specifically designed for combat. In fact, large squadrons I'd like to see:
stormtrooper transports (torpedoes and boarding parties? Yes please!)
assault shuttle
escort shuttle
escort transport
(oi, never realized how similar all these names are)
system patrol craft
just off the top of my head. I know the focus of this game is large ships (which is why I bought into this rather than xwing) but it would be nice if smaller ships could be used to better effect than they are now.
Oi, I'm rambling. I get excited about star wars tech . . .
We'll get plenty more fighters as time goes on. We'll get Lambdas. And they'll be awesome.

Why should they? They are shuttles not meant for fighting.
I would love to see them for scenarios and such things.

Here's hoping they don't get Starfighter stats, though.
I'd go two move.
Bomber(representing heavy weapons.)
Heavy
3 anti fighter dice. At least one of which is red.
2 anti ship dice. 1 blue, 1 red.
Make them feel a little like a ship.
I might even add rogue given the low speed. But that seems too much. Definitly on the named pilot though.
That lambda is looking like a bwing squadron, save for the dice colors. At least you gave it heavy. I don't think I'd give iti bomber. I wanna see what intel is. Maybe it could have intel.
What if you kept it mostly non-combat but made it to support other squadrons? Give it an ability like a squadron command that lets it order a few other squadrons to move and attack?
I don't think I'd give it bomber, and probably only 1 attack dice. I'd like to see it primarily for escort missions. For blowing things up, it should be the very last thing players want to pick because, at the end of the day it's a shuttle, not a fighter.

It's also a landing craft loaded with very powerful weaponry. Say what you want about its intended use, it canndish out some hurt.

The weapons are great, but unlike "agile as fighter" Transports, the Lambda cant hit anything because it can get behind a fighter, and captials just blow it from the sky as soon as it tries an "attack run".
I can`t believe they put out Han Richtofen and the Millenium Circus again. There's no way one pilot in an inferior craft could outmatch so many others. Star Wars and FFG are unrealistic. They should read a book, just not any about real wars. Those might mention the Ho Chi Minh tribe of ewoks, whose defeat of the Imperial infantry is just as unlikely to happen in real life.

I agree. This is totally the part about Star Wars that is unrealistic. This stuff. Right here. The rest is completely believable and could totally happen.

Because there are only so many ships they can use and Lambda's are iconic. We'll get plenty more fighters as time goes on. We'll get Lambdas. And they'll be awesome.

Please, dear friend, allow me to introduce you to the Imperial Raider and his infinite friends.
