Grit and Intel

Grit:

"You are not(?) [locked in combat]

while your are engaged [with enemy squadrons]."

Intel:

While a[ttacking](?) ....

distance 1 of you

... ok I have no idea what Intel could be.

When it comes to the word 'Intel'

The only hidden information would be the command stack dials ...

Is it something like X-Wings Inelligence Agent?

While a[ttacking a ship in]

distance 1 of you [may look at that ship's command dials]

What do you think?

Does this even make sense?

It does make a lot of sense. I think you could be right.

You know, a technique you could use is something that scholars use to fill in the holes of ancient texts, is counts the number of characters in a line (letters, spaces and punctuation). And see if the wording you are trying fits.

Even though the text boxes arent right justified you could still pull it off because they only put a word on the next line if its to big to fit.

I might give it a go when i get a computer, im on my pphone right now...

If intel reveals command dials am I the only one (as primarily a rebel player) who kind of thinks that it's "meh"? At least right now when everyone is using Tarkin it's almost a no-brainer to run your preferred liaison on your big ship. If you go with that what you chose on the command dial becomes just about irrelevant. Grit though, now that's exciting.

Thats exctly what I thought.

The possibility of pinning fighters via the rules of engagement is a key point in balancing ships and squadrons. So I hope "Grit" will not allow to break engagement, but it seems very likely. If there will be generic fighters who can't be engaged, the game is in trouble.

Enter the Tie Phantom. Bet this guy won't be able to be pinned down.

Or maybe grit allow you to disengage if you are locked by only 1 squadrons but if locked by 2, you cant.

I hope it allows you to move while engaged, but doesn't allow you to disengage.

so pretty much "allows you to move to anywhere within distance 1 of engaged squadrons."

seeing Intel sensors can destroy defensive tokens, i feel Intel will be something very similar to mitigating defensive tokens. maybe only vs fighters.

That'd be neat if 'Intel' was some sort of debuff to enemy ships while you loiter near them. Such as an Intel Officer effect on the 'victim' ship.

Looking at dials is not worthy of a ship ability. Isard allows this, and it's useful... but there's a reason why she's 3 points.
