I think this might've been a good list back in wave 3 when PS 2-4 was the norm, but now, I can't say for certain. There still seems to be a lot of PS9+ flying around, despite phantom numbers having dropped off considerably. I've played something like 30 games on VASSAL this past month, and faced a pair of Sigmas once. No echo, no whisper. So it seems many people have set the phantom aside (YMMV of course -- that's a limited pool of players). I think as soon as people realize that the phantom is no longer so prevalent, they might stop running so many PS9/10 ships and then your PS8 will have greater value. The downside though, is that more people will likely start running swarms again, and 6+ ships could really give your list trouble.
i see your point. the reasoning behind this list is that when i fly a traditional soontir with mini swarm (five ties) i lose one sometimes two ties before they even get to shoot. This way im probably getting two hits (with howls ability) out of each tie before they roll green dice. THere also seems to be a prevalence of scum builds. This list fires before most of the scum pilots that are being used (IG's, guri, suhlak, palob).
The only problem I have with the list is the name because Howlrunner is a woman.
