I really like using TIE Phantoms and VT-49 Decimators in X-Wing and would love to get their equivelents in Armada.

They have the Falcon coming I imagine it is only a matter of time until they release a Decimator. I too love the Decimator, it is my favorite ship for the Imperials, maybe not for game reasons but it will always hold a special place in my heart.

Phantoms should be coming very late they are to special, Defenders too. Ugly Über-TIEs.
I hope to see TIE-Avengers and Xg-1 Assualt Gunships soon. Perhaps shuttles and Transports.
But more focus on Lancers, Mc70, Strike Cruisers and Dreanoughts woule be best.

My thought and I have nothing to back it up, is that we will get everything that is out for X-wing sooner or later. I also think that each wave will have one or two ships per side with a fighter pack. The fighter pack may be one each faction or may be a combined one, but that is my guess on what will happen.

This. Seriously thinking about making "no turrets rules" in our place unless we agree we're feeling plucky. I don't think my roommate would disagree since he already calls himself pretty much a cheater anytime he uses the Falcon.

Well you could simply place a token on one of the turreted ships fire arc before you execute a maneuver. Then it is stuck facing that arc until the next maneuver.
that would have been nice if there were more arcs in x-wing
in Armada it's non-issue
the YT-1300 and Yt-2400 are squadron sized, so they'll be doing 360 fire at a tiny distance 1 rather than the max range. By nature of their "squadron" designation, they will have a significantly reduced impact in this game relative to X-wing (but, on the plus side, you could probably bring 5-6 )
seems they are around 20 pts a pop from what I can see on the card.
