None player question?

By CDAT, in Imperial Assault Rules Questions

I do not own the game, but have been looking at it. I have X-wing, and Armada but play both on the Empire side. The question that I have is can this game be played on the Empire side? Looking at it, it looks like it is one player (kind of a DM/GM) plays as the Empire and the players play as Rebel, is that more or less correct? We have more empire players than Rebel in my area. Thank you.

You can always play imperial versus imperial in Skirmish mode. :)

Not sure why what faction you play in xwing would matter. Not like there is cross over. Completely different game.

Yes but he's saying his group of friends prefers to play imperials maybe based on flavor?

So he is asking if he can play a campaign with multiple imperial players the answer is no, but you can in skirmish.

There are 2 different games in Imperial Assault.

Campaign Mode, where one player plays the Empire and 2 to 4 other players play Rebels. The rebels go through various missions (following a storyline), gaining XP to increase their abilities. They also gain credits (money) to buy better equipment.

Skirmish Mode, where 2 players build a squad (rebels, empire, scum) to face off against each other. This is like X-Wing Miniatures, only with ground troops.
