I'd like to point out that I started a thread for people excited about their new toys to celebrate and talk about their new toys, and certain people decided to turn in into a dig at said toys, with all the usual (and not backed up) implications that the people buying them are idiots. I think that reflects the personalities of those involved.

Back to the off-topic: what do you guys do with all the useless gubbinns that comes with new hardware? I've got a bunch of dvi-vga adapters, 6 pin power adapters, sata cables, etc. I can't imagine ever needing any of it, but can't bring myself to throw it away - that happen to anyone else?

Got my new PC parts, assembled them on Friday, it's taken me till now to get Windows and SteamOS to both install in UEFI mode from USB sticks. Blimey, that was a hassle.
