This is an email I just sent to players, but this is kinda based on forum posts re missions, suggestions, and other peoples ideas. I'm sharing this as I am a crusader for narrative play.
So this is advancing the campaign plot as well as changing the rules a bit.
As the battle settled, the Imperials secured the edge of the system and completed their initial objectives, creating a forward base, a Space Platform designated HS-5. Leaving Eclipse, Black Omega, and HS5-03 squadrons behind to hold the fort before Eclipse and Black Omega are to be cycled out.
Due to the events of the first chapter, the existence of the Smuggler/pirate base was kept secret from the Empire.
As such the system is a live battleground, as patrols clash and attempts for the Empire to create order are contested.
New campaign rules:
Each Squadron has 200 points of forces to start with, with 15 points as "filler" for when a full 100 points doesn't fit, filler points when spent are spent permanently
Each side (Imp/Scum or Rebel) has 12 of their 12 point ships to be used appropriately for reinforcements where the mission allows reinforcement.
After 4 missions played (2 missions per team member typically) each squadron gains 50 reinforcement points.
Squadron leaders: Each of the four squadrons designates a squadron leader. This MUST be the pilot with the highest PS, that pilot gets the squad leader EPT free, this EPT does not use an EPT slot.
In the event of a tie for PS, then the player controlling the squadron may choose from the highest.
Pilot casualties, on a hit or a crit when a pilot is destroyed then they are killed, they may NOT be re-bought with reinforcement points.
Victory points: are By team and by player.
Winning a game 5 points
Partial win/draw 3 points.
Lose 0 points.
Eliminating Enemy squadron leader 2 points.
Eliminating 50% of enemy opposition or greater (in points) 2 points.
Bringing an entire enemy squadron to under 25% fighting efficiency 5 points.
The player with the most VP per team is the MVP.
I'll get something shiny made for them maybe.
