Great pics. And now that I see that angle, I might believe that the Hounds Tooth is actually 1/270 scale. Because even at its new smaller cannon size its still 47.4 meters which puts it at 17.5 cm and 6.9 inches. It might be that big. I don't care, but the reveal article stated it very plainly that it was 1/270 and I feel it might be a hair smaller than that.

Scum fighter looks good, but man, that K-Wing. Doesnt look like Star Wars at all to me.

I still dont understand why so many people are complaining about the K-Wing... Yes, it is ugly, but its trying to be its own thing. With a few fixes it could be nice.

The TIE Punisher on the other hand... is the most lazy over the top design ever. Feels like an "ugly" design done by someone who broke 4 TIE Bombers.

I can't agree with anyone calling the K-wing ugly,

it reminds me of a various helicopter gunships.

It's no sleek A-wing, it looks exactly as it should for what it does.

As for the "Advanced TIE Bomber" (wookieepedia) it also looks fabulous

I think because it has more of what it needs to be bigger bomber

and still look like a TIE bomber.

Fixes..... Like cosmetic surgery? A darkened room? Put a bag over its head?

I don't know what you guys are talking about, that K-Wing Miniature is fab.

It has a certain functionality to it which I quite like. It's admittedly OTT in terms of the doodads and widgets hanging off it, but it will never win the Miss Star Wars Universe beauty competition. Doesn't mean it won't be a nightmare to face on the tabletop though.

I'm definitely in the BE good rather than LOOK good camp.

The more I look at the k wing the more I think it looks like a clone wars/prequel era craft. I find it really isn't as ugly as the E-wing.

Far too much on the greeble front though. The weapon pods/bombs don't look like any of the Star Wars bombs we've seen, so there is some disconnect with the model.

Are the white patches about halfway along the top of the HT missile tubes?

When I first saw the K-wing in the EU, some years ago, I was "eugh". all these 'sticky-outy bits'.

later I shifted to "meh" and didnt give it much thought.

The more I see it now, and start to wrap my head around its size. (its got 2 cockpits!)

I like it!

Its mean looking and aims to bring a an interesting dynamic with SLAM. I'm glad they did this, instead of just making it 'another bomber'.

I had a hard time understanding why I like the K-Wing model so much when the Wookieepedia image never really resonated with me. Then I did this.

The FFG design has great shading and more colour, which helps, but they made certain things like the cockpits "chunkier" and reduced the profile of stuff like the ordnance and top-center engine. I'm loving this.
