I'm going to say you're right, since anything not equal to the speed of light would satisfy what you are saying. In other words, I could go at the speed of light raised to whatever degree I wanted (theoretically) and certainly cross the galaxy much faster than wave one has traveled the Pacific ocean. Probably not the spirit of what you meant, but there you have it

Concidering it is not moving, ANYTHING is faster at the moment.
