Miranda's Crew... Gunner or C-3PO?

Might be some use with munitions failsafe: pop off a missile/torpedo and follow up with a primary attack if it doesn't hit. Would be doubly good with stresspedoes giving stress.

Hmm: Miranda + Gunner + Flechette Torpedoes + Munitions Failsafe. Attack with the torpedoes, reducing their Attack by 1 using her pilot ability. So you trade a target lock to get +1 shield and give (most) targets a stress token, then follow that up with a primary turret attack.

I don't know. It's clever, but it costs 8 points, only works against enemies in your firing arc (meaning you're at the mercy of the K-wing's still-unspoiled dial) and still leaves you with pretty substandard offensive output.

I suppose its just a variation on the feint which was described, where you use your reduced dice primary against a 'hard' target, gaining the shield benefit and then using your follow up gunner attack on a different 'soft' target. This way you can stress something in your fire arc and then carry through the feint against another target in 360. If the new turret is any good, it might make this more viable.

I think Miranda will be at her best when you're just using an ordnance card, her pilot ability and her reasonably high PS to hammer a lot of red dice into a target. I'll be getting someone to toss her a focus and trying to 1-shot my opponent's generics with a concussion missile (not bad odds with 5 focused dice and one modified blank if necessary).

R2 and C-3P0 seem like expensive gimmicks given what Miranda wants to do. Dump 4 points into Miranda's crew slot and you're going to be running a Rookie Pilot alongside her instead of Biggs, for example. :|

Yeah action support from either Dutch or Garven would be a good assist. Might find 30 points in a Miranda build for warthog Dutch to provide some ion support and throw out target locks. Homing Missiles would be a good upgrade with her too. Extra Munitions would help there.

100% agree. I'm guessing there will be a natural rhythm with this ship due to a not-amazing dial where you set up a shot one turn then take a shot the next. With her ability you spend your shield to slam home a 5 dice torp or missile, then spend a turn or 2 setting up a target lock, laying a bomb or something, and taking 1 dice potshots to regenerate your shields (or slow their removal if you're under fire).

Wondering if K-3PO is going to be a thing. Combined with Miranda's shield replacing shenanigans, it could be pretty strong. OTOH, Gunner can make a lot of sense as well. Weaken your first attack in order to refill shields each turn...

Gunner could be interesting. Also, fi you give her shield upgrade, could you weaken both attacks to gain back both shields?

I agree, K3PO will be a thing, as will K2-D2 and Miranda with gunner. You can absolutely use gunner to regain 2shields, but it will be best to only do that at dire times, because a ship that can't die is near useless if it also can't do any damage.

I'll wager you have never played a 60 minute tournament game where keeping points on the table can be as valuable as taking them off.
