Inspired at large by Ica's custom x-wing cannons, I had a crack, with the idea of using trimmed needle eyes for the cannon tips

Follow Ica's tutorial, with the following modifications

Trim the needles about 1mm above the bottom of the eye

Cut the rest of the needle to size

Insert in the barrels in the holes that you have drilled

Will update once I attempt painting, failing to meet Ica's standard by a wide margin

clever - and less likely to poke holes in your fingers

Well, they're out of the paint shop. I am quite happy with the results

Noticed you painted your basis, Just black prim and seal? How does the cardboard take to the stuff?

I used permanent marker on the cardboard then sealed with PVA glue. Seamed to work well
