Custom Commision Painter for xwing mini's in UK?

By HRCBlade, in X-Wing

Does anyone know of a really top quality commision based custom painter for xwing mini's in the UK please?

Many thanks in advance

Are you talking 'golden demon' standard or just 'clean, tidy and quite nifty'.

I've had painted models in white dwarf and citadel collectors guides before so i'm not rubbish with a brush (got a regional golden demon in the 90s when you still actually had to be able to paint well to enter and win a store heat) and if its not tons of stuff or stupidly complicated i'd help you out if you just need one or two ships repainting.

Clockwork wargaming does repaint x wing , I can send you some examples by text or by message here

May I ask if its ok to use this thread for more painting requests?

Because I would be interested in some custom painted ships for myself.
(btw, I would love a sticky with collected informations about custom studios/artists for X-Wing)

Being into tabletop games for 16 years now, painting was always my weakness (shaky hands), excellent terrain building and conversions but just basic paintjobs.

Not good enough for some nice centerpieces.

I would love to get 4 X-Wings from the Bacta War ( Wedge, Corran, Aril and Tycho)
I live in Germany so shipping from the UK should be pretty easy.

Hehe, I hear you on that. I had at one point a rather poor Corran, I was so unhappy with it I completely repainted it. But I'm rather satisfied with my Tycho, and it's making me think I need to attempt Wedge... and Migrate the standard "Red Squadron" paint job over to Luke. It's nothing compared to Rodent's Tycho though. Nor is it up to a commission level.

Though, if I paid for his A wing adaptation, I'd probably be a happy customer.

I got into X-wing about two years ago, and my shaky hands are the primary reason I haven't tried a repaint yet - maybe this summer.

And those are precisely the repaints I would like to do, especially Corran's because it's green. So I'd be keen to see what they end up looking like if you decide to have those done.

Wow! This is such a great idea! I really like what you did there. (and it bothers me, too, that we can't have our favourite rogues in their X-Wings)

@clockworkJ I will write an email tomorrow!

No worries chap, we're expecting hrc blades shortly and another chaps shapeways 12 ship order so they will get their own little blog, though painting is fast so won't consist of much other than before and after and steps to recreate.
