There is mostly just 2 of us playing here, i was wondering how the novgorod expansion might work with just 2....

There´s no problem with 2 Players for Novgorod - as it is played like the Core Game (a 2-Player-Game) with the only difference, that the players have a third faction from which they can choose. The Scenarios in OpNov are also only for 2 Factions (meaning 2 Players).

So if you really like Tannhäuser as a 2-Player-Game and you want a third faction, new tokens for the existing factions and an additional game board, go for Operation Novgorod ^^

Novgorod as well as any Tannhauser expansion works with 2 more more players.

Though I would'nt consider playing with 3 factions on the same board, I always get doubled team.
