Nashtah Pup Images?
It's in the shadows of the empire comic too. Bossk, zuckas, 4-LOM, and a couple ill-fated red shirts use it to dock with a crippled Slave 1.
As I recall, it looked kinda like a semi truck mixed with a y-wing. A big, blocky cab with long engines like the Y.
Do you happen to have the comic and willing to upload a picture? I'm intrigued!
Found this:
Looks nothing like a Z-95 to me. Might need to do some scratch building...
I've found a homebrew card,
using two different images of the same Z-95. I dunno how accurate it is, or if this is the Pup at all, but it's all I've been able to find.Upon looking closer, it seems it's just a shop job. Same ship pic, just flipped. Not even a very good shop, for that matter...look at those stars...
I made those cards!
BTW: Don't knock my graphic skills, Banana. How much time do you think I'm going to spend on photoshopping the ship art for all those images, I did 4 other bounty hunter ships in that set, each with 4 pilot cards, a title and a maneuver reference card. And these are just the preliminary versions to be playtested.
Edited by Radarman5Wasn't a true Z-95..
This said, on why Z-95s have wings.
They were originally atmospheric craft updated for space use.

Actually, this is from Star Wars Gamer 7.
That Red and grey thing at the back is the Pup. AFAIK, this is the only graphical representation it has ever had. It was said to be a Z95 in this article, though it did say, "treat as a two-person Z95."
Those little fins remind me of the Clone Wars Z-95.

I can't speak for hinges to make the wings fold up, but it's a possible modification.
So it could be a Clone Wars (old) modified training (2 seater) version.

Problem is for the pilot card to be accurate it would have to add a crew slot in place of a missile slot.

Yeah that's the one! Thanks for digging that up.
Take that with a grain of salt though, as most of the rest of those ship designs are all wrong. Slave 1 has all kinds of narrow corridors crisscrossing through the interior of his ship.
Also as you can see from the posted photo, Nashta Pup doesn't even dock in the correct place. And the Hounds Tooth is probably twice the size it's supposed to be. Rebel transport sized.
That said, it's the most complete image out there that I know of. I could see that having Z-95 stats.
...
...should be a 3 red dice turret though ![]()

How can you tell where that's docking? All I see is a big purple box.
Using a clone tool it would have taken me 10 seconds to fix those stars, you lazy bum. lol.

You guys are trying to find consistency in the old EU comics & games, it's not going to happen. Some artist gets hired to draw a comic that another guy wrote, using some ships he read about in a book, and neither of them has ever seen a picture of it be cause the 10 year old RPG book it's from is out of print and the internet either doesn't exist yet, or it's in it's infancy so there's no google image search, and even it there was a picture available you'd have to wait for an hour for one crappy low-rez image to download via dial-up. lol.
BTW, here's the tread with the rest of those custom bounty hunter ships. Scum & Villainy was announced about a month later so I stopped working on them:

I'll end up just copying the card art once I have it in my hands, but was cool to see these images. Someone more skilled with plasticard than me may like to make the one from the comic.
Hounds tooth has always been a favourtie ship of mine, and I'm hoping the escape ship deploy mechanic will be alot of fun, so my repainted Z-95 will see alot of table time.

Now that I think of it, I wonder if there's anything on the miniature there.

I suspect your paint scheme is going to look a lot like this one:

Z-95 was actually marketed by Incom corporation as an atmospheric fighter that is space capable. The AF4 in X-Wing is th he version designed to be trans-atmospheric specifically so it can be sold to local militias and and law enforcement.
Thus ends the lesson on why the Z-95 has wings ![]()

That's the card. Looks a lot like the ship it falls out of.
That Wookie is nearly the same size as the Pup.
Cheers
Baaa
I'm contemplating using one of Gosric's swept-wing Z95's to represent the Pup.
Between the Mk1 atmospheric fighter and the last model AF4, the Z-95 had a new model come out every year for decades, with parts and kits sold to refit and upgrade the older models. Honestly it's a miracle any two Zeads look the same at all, unless everyone refit to look just like the AF4, or the AF4 was the best selling model by far. Funny. I would have thought the Republic would have ordered millions of Clone 95s during the war but we only see a few towards the end and those seem to be supplanted by V-wings pretty quick.
Shapeqays Z-95 series showing the evolution from twin-tail swing wings to fixed wing space fighter is awesome, so awesome that I wish the authors of the old EU could have done such a consistent job.
