Armada Perth Players : Role Call

By Tyranthraxus, in Star Wars: Armada

Im just excited to know there are other Perth Players out there. I had been thinking the Price point (160ish retail here from what Ive seen) would of put people off. Ive yet to have a game, so this thread is really just to get other Perth players to sound off so we get to know who each of us are.

Also if you didnt know Gamagori in (I think Wanneroo) looks to be holding a 300 point tournmanent in May. I cant remember the exact date, I suggest contacting them for more information. Im still deciding if I want to get in on that.

I'm from brisbane and just got the base game. If you go on fish pond or book depository you can get it for 90-110 bucks. Hope you get a good group together

OK I'll put my hand up.

I live along the Armadale train line so can reach most of Perth's larger communities quite easily.

I'm meeting with a young bloke who works at GameCity who was blown away by Armada when I was reading the rules just after picking it up from Tactics.

A friend of mine who plays at TGA is playing it and he knows other people playing Armada so I'm trying to get together with them.

I went into Good Games Cannington on their W-Wing league night. Most weren't interested in Armada because I think they feel threatened by a Star Wars version of Attack Wing. One young bloke there had played Armada and enjoyed it a lot so I'm going to try and meet up with him next X-Wing night.

I think there's enough Armada players in Perth to start getting a group together especially after Wave1 comes out.

Edited:

I think there's a group playing Armada at NWS.

I'm here to. Based in Thornlie, so Gamagori is a bit of a treck for casual gaming, but I'll be there for the 300 point event for sure (9th May). For regular gaming Good Games Cannington is just down the road from me, and TGA, NWS, and Outpost are all well within striking distance.

Ahoy! I hail from Vic Park, so a stone throw away from Good Games Cannington and TGA.

Pricing isn't terrible if you know where to look and don't mind waiting a week or two for delivery.

Definitely keen for regular Armada. To kick things off I've started up a 'Star Wars: Armada Perth' Facebook group, so feel free to get the word out.

Hope to see you all on there! ;)
