Ferris Beullers Day Off - the fight club theory

By Gadge, in X-Wing Off-Topic

My wifes watching ferris beuller again.

I remember reading ages ago that 'ferrris' is a figment of Camerons imagination, its the person cameron wants to be.

Watching the film again, it actually makes a *lot* of sense when you watch it with that perspective.

Anyone else heard that theory?

I've hard of it. I think there is too much screen time without Cameron though. Also Jeanie makes no sense if it's all about Cam.

It's like the Pixar theory. It shows human pattern recognition more than an actual patten.

Yeah... I don't think the theory holds water in this movie. Was he just imagining the teacher saying another students name over and over? Also, the scenes with the principal trying to break in don't make sense either.

It wouldn't take much to edit Ferris Bueller's Day Off to adhere to the theory. Simply chop out a few minutes of video and BAM! Airtight.
