Question About Combo

By Grizzlegrom, in UFS Rules Q & A

If I play a low attack (Like spinning demon) and make a multiple copy can I play the combo E: on a card like Alaraph Achernar that has a requirement of a low zone attack? Or can I Play two punches Blazing Fist Multiple 2 and play another blazing fist multiple 2 since it gives the multiples punch?

Or because multiple copies have no printed values can they be used for comboing at all?

Well, multiples gain everything except for whats in the text box so you can do a attack, multiple, and then do alarph arrechnar. However, I think the blazing fist part is under debate.

One side says: That they gain the keyword and shouldnt lose it while the other side says it returns to its original state after resolving (just how zones, dmg, and speed reset)

Unless specifically specified on the original card, multiples do not gain anything printed below the resources (accept the control check, which is mostly irrelevant, I believe). Ergo unless a card specifically states otherwise, such as Double Face Kick or Blazing Fist, multiples do not gain keywords by default.

More specifically, they have a blank textbox. They do gain Set, Copyright, Artist name, etc.

So can you blazing fist again and multiple out after the multiples of a previous blazing fist then? Or does the punch and/or zone fall off after the multiple attack resolves?

No one knows, currently. The issue with the whole thing is that the abilites that grant the keywords etc to the multiples have no specified duration (end of turn, etc), and so by normal rules, would be undone when the attack resolved. This, however, severly cripples some attacks, like Spinning Demon and Double Face Kick, and really does not make sense.

We have to wait for an offical "Abilities and Keywords granted to multiples last until the multiple copy resolves" or "Abilites and Keywords granted to multiples last until the end of turn" ruling.

I just kinda hope this gets answered soon... :(

Antigoth posted this in two different threads earlier - Punch goes away.

More specifically, the keywords granted to the multiples go away when those individual multiples resolve.

Okay what about the zone for combo abilies like the attack mentioned at the top of the thread? Do Multiple attack copies zones work for combo?

Multiple copies keep all of their statistics, that are generated upon creation, until end of turn. That is, Difficulty, Control, Copyright, Speed, Damage, zone, block, etc.

If I understand the future AGR change correctly, anything granted to them, other then when the multiple enhance is played, lasts until they resolve.
