O dear....
No one has mentioned this that I have been aware of. So I will mention it here ( I may be completely off base here, pun intended):
There is a Boost Action card in the Hound's Tooth expansion pack.
Why?
There is no Boost action on the Hound's Tooth base.
...
There is no Boost action on the pup base, either...
We can not see the Pup's card.
The traditional Z-95 does not have boost.
Are we getting a much better, much cheaper booster escape Z here? Or are we getting a Boost card for no reason? That has never been the case.
Again, this hasn't been mentioned before that I am aware of. This is either because I'm missing something, or everyone else is. What say you?
Edited by CitizenPrimePerhaps you have to perform a boost action out the back of the Hound's tooth in order to deploy the Z-95.

well, there isn't a large base ship yet where EU can't be made into a good idea
except Aggressors. Don't put EU on Aggressors ![]()
It comes with engine upgrade.
Doh.
Ok, that makes sense.
I could be wrong here but I would be willing to bet when this card comes out he is putting something in a bag, I can't see them making a card where he is skinning anything.

arguably just a gruesome
WHAT'S IN THE BOX BAG!?
Could Bossk be a reason to break out Marksmanship again? Maybe with Experimental Interface? Depends on dial I suppose.
Mangler is too expensive on a 3 attack ship and limits your firing arc.
Greedo might be OK to get some face-up cards even after "using" your kaboom with Bossk.
180 Tactician for me.
Tctician card says "in your firing arc." I'm guessing this will mean the smaller arc, not the full 180o.

Tactician doesn't say primary firing arc, just firing arc. That means any printed arc will do, just like on the firespray. Tactician doesn't work on full turrets because they only have the standard 90 degree arc (and the ability to fire outside of it).
I'm torn, part of me wants to almost ignore the cannon entirely, focusing on abusing that 180 arc with Tactician and stuff like that. Part of me wants to say "ONE SHOT EVERYTHING!!!!!" and go HLC, Merc Copilot, K4 security Droid, and Opportunist, along with Palob to steal things. The nice thing is that for a big tough ship he seems to be pretty cheap, so he's probably got a crummy dial, so control options will be good.
Bossk going to 11 (HLC, Merc Copilot, K4, Opportunist) gets 5 dice re-rolled, with an automatic Crit at Range 3 and re-rolls and Focus for his attack. 5 dice ought to hit anything, even 4 will hit most things with re-roll/focus, you then change in a crit for 2 more hits. 6 damage minus greens is reasonable, 5 is pretty likely. It's probably too situational for the points, though. The dial is also has a lot to say. I'm super-curious. It's a flying brick, does it fly like a brick?
I can see it being ruled either way. Buuuut, if 180o works then TRIPLE Tacticians!
Triple Tacts is nasty
Do want
(And it will be the full 180, given the precedent set by the 'spray)
Only sad thing is the outlaw tech + sot combo is included in the box (the biggest HINT HINT from ffg yet
)

I don't think you're wrong, but what about double Tactictions + Merc Copilot? Range 3, you get the auto crit, Range 2 you get double stress, range 1 you get the extra die.
imo, merc copilot really isn't worth it in any context
that 3rd crew should be int agent so you can align your arc (EU or SoT) on soom poor, Soontir-looking bastard
So quick question. Are we certain that Bossk may exceed the amount of dice rolled with hits? For example, if he rolls 3 dice for attack and gets two hits and a crit can he then go with 4 hits due to his ability? Or, is his ability limited by the number of attack dice he rolls (can't exceed 3 in the above example)? Common sense seems to say that you can't do more damage than your maximum firepower allows but strictly based on the literal wording of the card there seems to be no limitation. Just a thought.
No, common sense says he can exceed the maximum number of dice allowed because his ability would be pretty pointless otherwise
you're giving up a crit result to guarantee direct damage that works on shields, essentially
there are a few built in restrictions to keep this ability in control
1.) "attack that hits" = no using crits to bloat rolls to overpower green dice
2.) "you may cancel one crit result" (self explanatory)
not a super amazing ability, but it does turn Mangler into kinda a 4 point HLC (again, can't use the ability to throw in four dice worth of results to power through agility, which is incredibly relevant against things like soontir and aggressors)
Edited by ficklegreendiceThe crew/copilot card for Bossk, is he skinning a... Per Jan Ors;
""The stench onboard was horrible. Between drying Wookiee pelts, a rotting corpse on the skinning table, and Bossk's own repellent scent, it was worse than a slaughterhouse on a sewage planet.""
S**t just got real. Can't wait to fly this slaughterhouse.
That picture is the first time I've seen Bosk's Z-95 with a PS. Previously, it's always been an astrick. I hope we can deploy him as a standard Z-95 pilot.

Bossk is resolved at the beginning of Step 7, Deal Damage:
page 13 - During this step, hit ships suffer damage based upon uncanceled [hit] and [crit] results. The hit ship suffers one damage for each uncanceled [hit] result, and then suffers one critical damage for each uncanceled [crit] result.
The key word in there is "results", there's nothing in there about dice, so the number of dice rolled does not limit the number of [hit] and [crit] results you can have.

where do you see a PS? ah its on the base. Weird that it's only one base (two sides) to all those pilots
the pup card still seems to have a * PS (probably equal to the PS of the hound's tooth that triggered it)
Edited by ficklegreendiceLike I have mentioned in the other thread, I am kinda hoping that the pilot card is double sided (or that there is a second one not shown) that allows us to field Bossk in a headhunter from the start.
I don't actually care about Bossk at all, but I like the precedent for a pilot with multiple ship options.
Well, he is a tranny. It put's the lotion on.

Anything other example in the entire game to support this? How might you obtain uncanceled [hit] and [crit] "results" except by the dice? I am not convinced it's one way or the other but I'm not sure this is proof positive.
