Star Wars Battlefront

I've seen no evidence to suggest the new Battlefront's singleplayer component is more lacking than they say it is (not lacking) and therefore no reason to doubt them yet.

How was single player in BF 3 or 4? Not played them.

Single player actually had a campaign. It was...good. I'm not usually into single player games like that, but it had story and plot. It had some good stuff in it. I thought it was enjoyable. It was thematic, which means it had bits with people talking for plot thrown into the combat. Also crazy things like building collapsing during the fighting. You sliding around on factory floors and shooting enemy before you fall off the edge. I did it once and then never played it again. It didn't take that much time. It was more than what Battlefront is promising.

To me, the franchise really had it's meat in multi player.

BF2's campaign I thought was alright (battlefront, not battlefield).

I've never played the handheld games because ew handheld.

$80 pre-order? $40 expansions to give you what should've in the core game??? Why not! Make that $$$ EA!

It's sad I know.

There seems to be a trend with AAA of the last few years to make a game then hold back parts of the game behind pay walls.

Just look at evolve, it would be a **** fine game if it didn't have so much pointless dlc like pay $2USD for a blue skin on your gun that is hardly noticeable

Or pay silly money on top off the cost of the game to get the most OP monster

It's just getting silly now.

It's funny that people still like to use Evolve as a the posterchild for the DLC problem, considering almost all of their DLC is either free or cosmetic. You still get to play on all of the new maps and against the new monster and hunters even if you don't buy the DLC.

That being said, I agree that the current state of AAA titles is a grim and greedy one, and my video gaming will continue to be subsidized by XBL's Free Games with Gold (which I only pay for to watch Netflix).

I don't think the new Battlefront is actually made for Star Wars fans in general (no campaign), but for FPS players that like Star Wars or want a break from the modern military genre.

Handheld gaming is the best. Between PC and my 3DS and Vita, that's all I need.

Yeah my Xbox is games with gold/netflix almost exclusively these days.

Still may get a one...

None of them were. All three are very mainstream games.

Can't speak for the Handhelds.
