Nice synergy with Quickbeam and Booming Ent!

Hama is great! New Beornlike ally for defense. That much defense is always nice to have and while he is still an ally he doesn't trigfer chumpblocking to say it like that.

Don't like Quickbeam that much thematic though. I see where they're coming from, but I would have liked a version who does enter play without exhaustion. Quickbeam didn't need that much of rousing to go to war and he was 'quick'. Socthe damage must be the rousing I guess, likewise for Treebeard, but I would have preffered him ready as normal allies..

Anyway, gamewise he is really nice. Works well with the Custodian and Booming Ent.

So I dont have all the details for this one like restircted, unique and such since I forget them, but there is a 1 Cost Tactics Attachment.

Attach to a Hero or Legolas. After attached character destroys an enemy, place 1 progress on the current quest.

I may have some of the wording wrong but thats the gist

Woohoo, new Spirit Rohan ally confirmed!

So you could use Hama's ability after he declares as an attacker, but before the first attack resolves, right? So you could get 2 defenses at 5 defense, then sacrifice him to Ride to Ruin before he leaves play?

Quickbeam seems ridiculously good. 3 attack for 2 cost in lore and he can enter play ready (and buff booming ent)?

So, are there any leadership cards at all in this box?

These unique allies look awesome btw, ent deck has become even better.

EDIT: I just remembered Gimli, so there's at least one, and it seems like it's the only one. Still, it is a little disappointing to have so few. I really don't understand card distribution in these boxes. I don't know if these are better or worse than an AP.

Sounds too good to be true

Looking at Quickbeam, I think I'm going to ask for him to be errata'd - hey, no, I'm kidding!

Jokes aside, I'm not sure of where we're going when a card like this makes its appearence: it's almost outrageous towards Tactics.

He's unique, I know, but 3 attack for 2 cost? In Lore?? 1 damage is hardly a signficant penalty for a character with 3 hp, even more so in a sphere that has access to healing, and with trait-specific healing as well.

I expected him to be Tactics and, in that case, he actually would have been a bit less powerful.

Hama seems promising, but his level of effectiveness is stil unclear to me. Definetly an interesting card: almost the same stats as Elfhelm/Damrod while costing one less resource (and being able to benefit from Theoden), with an ability that is just asking to be exploited somehow.

I've meant to ask why the hate on Leadership? One of most fun solo decks I have is leadership. Can be very powerful but since no cancellation very risky

ents are so overpowered its just not fair. I think you could probably play one of the earlier but tougher quests like dugoldor are crush it with ents. they seem almost... cheap

Leadership is my favorite sphere. I always keep a mono-leadership deck that I never break apart since it's so much fun to play. No cancellation is risky, but with Balin we also have shadow cancellation which is pretty amazing.

Ent's are starting to look seriously good.... The Healer Ent, Booming Ent and Quickbeam all combo together amazingly...

Quickbeams self damaging ability powers up the booming ent instantly and he can then be healed at the end of the round if necessary by the healer ent. Ent Draught combos with Treebeard hero and booming ent giving ent's higher hitpoints allows you to far more safetly leave a point of damage on ents (powering up booming ents) and Treebeards ability can be used to its full potential with an ent draught attached.

May just have to rethink ents and whether I want to use them yet again =P

I wouldn't say ents are overpowered. Just really powerful, which is right up my alley.

Also at least one copy of Hama is going to more or less be auto included in my decks now. 3 cost for an ally who has both 2 attack and defence and 2 health and can ready to save you from that last nasty unexpected attack that would otherwise take out a hero from undefended damage

Agree. Now I just want to see the art!

I guess it makes perfect sense that Ents as an archetype are going to be top-tier. It's not quite Outlands, but it is not far off, and they do not have the early game fragility that Outlands has. Thematically it makes sense for them to be powerful, but I am a little disappointed that these are cards I likely will not be playing very much. It's looking more and more like easy mode v. 2.0, just throw Booming Ent, Wandering Ent, Quickbeam, Treebeard, and that Custodian guy into the mix and you've already got a rock-solid lineup of allies. Surely there are more to come, as well.

You have obviously never played Leadership to its full potential. Best sphere IMO.

And the swearing whenever you mention "Leaders***" really needs to stop. We're all entitled to our opinions but no one wants to see that profanity.

Powercreep :o

I like how you put the word "just" before describing putting into play a whole buttload of allies, which you need to draw first, and then wait a whole turn for most of them :D

Oh, I played leadershit, and I played too much of it than I'd want to, that's exactly the reason I call it leadershit. You're horribly mistaken if you think I call it that because I consider it weak - I call it that because I consider it too strong and vital for solo play. More than I'm comfortable with.

Woah... I'm all for more Ent support but this is turning into Outlands 2.0. This will do wonders for my Lore decks.

I can remember a certain thread about Ents and powerfull and if people wanted more support..

Strong cards are good. Strong cards mean that if you want to use them - you CAN use them without hindering yourself, unlike the weak cards. And if you don't want to use them - no one forces you.

Aside from the fact that strong player cards in abundance = strong encounter cards in abundance, which means that building more thematic decks gets more difficult.

Ok so the tactics attachment is Arod.

1 Cost, Mount.

It's unique so can't stack, but cam work with the Horse Breeding and the Rohan event to get +3.
