My thoughts about the “Extra Munitions” upgrade.

Dual YT-1300s definitely did enjoy a period of dominance, as did B-wings, and TIE fighters.

Anyway, I don't think anyone believes ordnance is useless; rather they think that it is awkward, inefficient, and overshadowed by better offensive upgrades. Extended munitions help make ordnance carriers more cost effective by allowing more ordnance to be brought at a reduced price, but does not solve other key problems with ordnance, and in itself requires substantial investment.

I've said it before but extra munitions is a better fix for bombs than for projectiles. I think in this regard the card has failed to accomplish the alleged task of "fixing" ordinance.

That said, there are still missiles and torpedoes yet to be spoiled, and tho is very efficient for bombs, so I'm sure ill end up playing it.

True; in fact it could be very powerful for bombs, especially when combined with the SLAM ability on the K-wing.

Here is a list I won a tournament with last year. I surprised people by the amount of damage I could dish out and how easily they could be target locked. The few games I did lose 5-2, was because I ran out of munitions. With Extra Munitions now and some slight changes like dropping the Munit Failsafe, and changes some of the weapons, that won't happen again.

Rymer, Assault Missles, Cluster Missiles, Push the Limit, Seismic, MF - 41 pts

Jonus, Ion Pulse, Cluster Missiles, Push the Limit, Seismic, MF - 35 pts

2x Academy Pilots - 24

Total 100 pts

This list can be very deadly, plus it will have double the amount of Ordnance and Bombs.

I look forward to flying it again.
