No K-turn on K-wing?

Prediction: the K-wing will not have a K-turn, or in the very least it will not have a K-turn that is eligible to be SLAM'd. (Think Y-wing whose K-turn is 4, but whose 4 straight is also red)

Why? Because it doesn't need one / to be able to.

One, It has a turret, small ships with turrets have historically bad dials. And two, it has the ability to turn 180 degrees already using SLAM (assuming it has white hard turns, but I don't expect it's dial to be Lambda-level bad).

Thoughts?

I agree this is likely.

I really WANT it to have a slammable Koiogran, but that's rather overpowered.

Yes, following up a white 4-straight with a SLAM 4K seems to me as if it would be pretty abusive.

The same logic would also imply that there won't be a general upgrade allowing other ships to use the SLAM action. (Picture, if you will, IG-88C using a 3-bank, a SLAM 3-loop using the turn template, and then Push the Limit to boost.)

I wasn't expecting more than a 3 maneuver on the K-wing, It's bout the size of a small freighter with all its munitions least in my opinion.

If I read the SLAM card correctly all it would take to both have a K-turn and not be able to use it as a SLAM action is for it to be a speed 4K and have no other 4 speed maneuvers.

Your SLAM must be the same speed as the maneuver you already performed so if you performed a 3 straight you can't turn to a 4K because of the speed difference.

And if you did a 4K you couldn't do a SLAM 4K action because of the stress.

Ya for sure, not having a 4 straight would make it pretty slow though (SLAM withstanding), but then again if you account for SLAM and a 3 white it can still go 6 in a turn (7 really)

Sounds like ludicrous speed to me!

I have come to same conclusion, though as mentioned elsewhere, I wouldn't be surprised if the K-Wing has a 5K-Turn as its only 5 maneuver, thus preventing the SLAM abuse of the K-turn, while still giving it a K. Mostly, though, I expect it to have none at all.

Since you lose your shot I really think they should be pretty liberal with the slam options. I would like to see a dial with 5 strait, 5K, all 3s white and a 3K.

Also, the K-Wing can grab the Leebo crew.
So you can add boost to that SLAM as a free action.

What's so broken and a speed 9 or 11 k turn? It's not like you can shoot from your new position.

In a game where you want to move last, moving at Ps -1 and not being allowed to shoot is very situational.

But advanced slam lets you action. And most if he new bombs are dropped by action.

Also the slam doesn't add or take away stress. I would expect it to have a k-turn available.

A power moon option.

Almost certain it doesn't have a K. At a likely 23 points, turret included, it's simply too cheap to be that manoeuvrable.

I think I'd appreciate it just for the irony.

I'm guessing just off the code of the revealed ps7 that its dial is going to be pretty bad, probably a little better than the lambda, maybe not as good as the y wing

That'd fit the Defender great. Not sure it'd fit the K-wing though. Expect slow K turns or lone K-turns.

My guess is the dial is the Y-wings minus the K-turn.

Wouldn't be surprised if all its turns are red and it has no k-turns. Also wouldn't be surprised if it was the first ship since the Lambda to have a full-stop.

Would be happy if it has a white 2-sharp, and super happy if it has 2 white sharp turns to SLAM with.

I honestly think it'll have red hard turns and a 3 k-turn, maybe even 2. It's supposed to be capable of bonkers acceleration, but 180 degrees of stressless turning don't fit that at all. Expect a great collection of banks and straights, but crappy turning.

Imagine a green 2 forward(The only manuever every ship has) and a 2 k could lead to repeated attackless k-turns.

A 3k turn with a white 3 forward is more likely though.

SLAM turn left PTL boost left there is a almost K turn.
