I really want to be excited about the Wookiees, but I really hate that they cost 8, How many 7+ Cost units do Rebels need? Apparently Rebels will forever be stuck in the 5-6 Deployment Card range because they have so few inexpensive units. If Wave 4 could have a playable 3-4 cost unit for Rebels that would be really nice.... I guess I can still hope R2/3PO fill this void, but I am not going to hold my breath,

Happy with Hired Guns, they seem to be exactly what Scum needed more of. Would have been nice if they had a different cost than the Nexus since it doesn't help them even out their random point cost issues, but I get it. He probably would have been too good at 3 cost.

Wookiees look to be the clear winners overall, but Rebel lists are even more complicated once these arrive than they were before.

I am so pumped for the wookies. They are undercosted for what they can bring. I think that when building a rebel list we need to not think of it like a Imperial List which is more of a weenie swarm thing with some big support units. Rebels can work with 5-6 activations because they excel at creating extra activations. Jyn, Han have built in free attacks when their condition is met. Luke has the son of Skywalker command card. Chewie has debts repaid. Han has his command card I make my own luck which skews initiative in your favour. I am glad that playing Rebs feels different than playing imperials. Also the rebels have two amazing 3 cost units in Gideon and Mak so its not like they are suffering too much.

That sounds great on paper but that is not how it works.

Care to elaborate. I have provided many instances (not even all of them) where the Rebel's can gain an action advantage that Imperial figures don't have access to.

I'm quite confused these cards just got spoiled and you're discounting them already?

If the LCG has taught me anything it's to never discount anything until it's been tested. I agree with JT these seem undercosted and I'm excited to try them out in a rebel build.

Will these be called Wave3?

i am not talking about the new stuff just that Rebels have trouble with acts even with all the tricks they have. It looks great on paper but not in real life. Han is a future piece, Jyn is good on paper but only rolling two green has trouble getting damage through to really good great use, You have to draw chewie or Luke. I do agree sabs can create more acts for you and are needed to create act control for you if you play rebels. I just don't think rebels are their yet even with the Rebel sab build.
