Will you be designing custom bases for them too? You probably won't want to replicate FF's bases due to copyright but something custom might work =D
Edit: Also, I am a big fan of this design for the modified CR90 FarStar: http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/FarStar
I'd love to pick up one of those eventually!
Edited by DoldrumHow are you printing those beautiful models to get such high quality? Is that from Shapeways?
They look gorgeous in the flesh!
Currently waiting on payday so I can buy some Interceptor IV's and Rihkxzyrk fighters...will post pictures of them here too!
If you're taking requests...Vindicator heavy cruiser, please
These look awesome. With the long lag time between waves, I might have to start taking matters into my own hands...
Mel, those pics are resin casts of shapeways frosted ultra detailed (FUD) prints. I like resin for my fleet but the resolution is the same (I guess technically slightly less because it's a cast) as the shapeways FUD.
Yeah, probably the same as Mel and others, I am still trying to figure out the flight stand piece. It would be nice if FFG would sell extra stands like they do dice packs, etc.
I did split out some of the fighters into 3,6,and 9 packs. I know you guys asked for 6 but you can get 9 for almost the same price. If you need any others separated out let me know.
I would love to see the Vindicator too, I am hoping Mel will do it, LOL...The nice thing about the Vindicator is you get a second ship for the same design because it's the same as the interdictor cruiser (just add the gravity wells)
My next priority is the dreadnaught and the assault frigate mark I variants. As soon as we get wave I (to confirm the sizes) I will finish those.

Cannot thank you enough for doing that Utar!

Well looks like I'm gonna buy some Assault Frigates...
Assault Frigate I and Dreadnought. I am in. I have been waiting for a proper detailed dreadnought model forever. Do it justice, and they will come lol.
Between you and Mel we are in good shape.
By the way, do all these things need cards or what?
I'm sure they will.

A friend of mine is working on cards for many of these ships http://www.boardgamegeek.com/thread/1354606/custom-ship-cards-looking-input , but the more options the better...
Here is the dread design. I re-created it (with permission) based on the work of Nicholas Sagan :

I love all you guys! Keep it up gentlemen!
Honestly I was going to start churning out cards for Black Sun/Scum faction. Why not add another player to the party.
The Dread is looking great. Scaling it to the Victory I assume?
Anyway back to work on the squadron base toppers. Love the ships.

Yes, and the Wave I ships, The Gladiator is 500m and the Asslt Frig MK II is 700m, so the 600m Dread should be roughly in between in length, but I want to get those ships in hand and compare how they would look before finalizing the Dread size.
I'm not sure I would measure it against the FFG MkII if that will determine your models size. I would prefer it bigger than the MkII as long as it's in scale and looks right with the Gladiator and Victory. Just my suggestion. Don't get me wrong, I've preordered my copies of the FFG MkII, but I'd much prefer the established assault frigates.
Edited by ThalomenWell you know I am making ships also in 1/7000 scale for "scale purists" which would be in scale with the VSD and ISD but it would be smaller than the FFG Neb B.
I'll have to see what looks right for "Armada Scale" next to the VSD and the Gladiator. I am curious to see how big the FFG Asslt Frig MK II will really be. It's supposed to be 700m long but if they did make it almost as long as the VSD it would look huge because it is a "fat" ship design.
Here is what the Flurry, aka Quasar Fire-class bulk freighter converted to a carrier, looks like in resin.

Have you already done some 1/7000s? I'd love to see what those look like. The scale doesn't bother me much with the Nebulon B but the corvette looks way too big, and I'd love to put two smaller ones on a base and field them that way. Would make the VSD and eventually the ISD look that much bigger, which is cool!
Just curious. Whats the long strip at the bottom of the flurry pic for?

I have started working (with the small ships first). Here is a pics with some existing stuff that just happens to be around 1/7000 scale...

That is a rack that goes along the back wall for cargo or B-wing fighters (I think)
Wow, I LOVE the scale corvettes! Unfortunately there's no way to be a real "scale purist" with the fighters being what they are (although I suppose one could use cardboard counters for fighters, like in Battlefleet Gothic), but I really like the idea of using two or three corvettes to a base instead of the single, ridiculously out of scale FFG corvette.
When will these be available to order?
PS - I also love that dreadnought!
Would you ever consider making fighters in whatever scale you've made them for the Flurry's hangar? They'd obviously be incredibly small and not nearly as detailed as the FFG versions but you might give the scale purists something to spend their money on!
Bulk cruiser is awesome. I am down.
