So if I own 4 TIE bombers now how many of the new ships will I need to buy to fix them? But what if I want to play both the new and old bombers in the same Epic game then what?
Now that we know what the fix is going to me.
Please please please tell me the K-Wing and Punisher comes with a bunch (x 4 each) of the new upgrade "Extra Munitions"

Oh, I'll still buy ships, but I'm quite disappointed now. The Bomber "fix" is not so.
I tell you Star Brothers... I have laughed and cried, giggled and cheered... and gotten a little bit upset with the few bad peoples on line. Then I laughed and cried, giggled and cheered even more!

Extra Munitions is not very good for generic Tie Bombers. The only good thing is that it doubles your bomb load, but I really don't care about that so much. Tie Bombers have always been ordnance carriers. Ordnance is still not worth it without some sort of ability to modify the dice. Now, you get to shoot a crappy ordnance twice and spend 2 pts extra for the favor.

And it's completely useless for one-slot ships like X-Wings, A-Wings, Z95's, Defenders, TIE Advanced...

No. If you aren't actually hitting with your ordnance, then there isn't much of a point to shooting them again.
Munitions Failsafe is made for Flechette Torps. Maybe an expensive Assault Missile. Not much else, though.

We can't read all of the cards yet, so there has to be some more goodies to come to fix munitions.

Actually, you can see what types of cards there are left. They are all EPTs, bombs, illicits, and new ordnance. There is nothing there that would help a generic with old ordnance.

Here are the cards you can't read:
Hound's Tooth:
-card that says "Crac" that we get a better picture of in the next ship that shows it's an EPT.
-card that says, "Mane- F-", but you can see it's a Hound's Tooth only card.
-card taht says, "Ion P-". No icon on the lower left side, which means it's a title or modification. Text also says "Large Ship Only"

-EPT that is titled, "Ligh- Ref-".
K-wing:
- "Twin L- Turret" card, that is surely a turret.
- "Plasma Torped-" card. Surely Torpedo.
- "Adv. Homing Missile" that you can see better shot on Tie Punisher. It's R2 only and 3 attack dice. No details on wording, but does require a TL.
- Bombardier crew.
- "Conn-" with a bomb icon.
- "Ion -" with a bomb icon.
Tie Punisher:
- Twin Ion Engine - Tie only

I'd argue that it is pretty good for them.
Not only are you doubling your bomb loadout, but you are also doubling any ordnance you take. You could take an ion torpedo, an assault missile, and a proton bomb, and get doubles of each for only 2 points - for example. But what is more likely is that you take a single missile and single bomb, and you get 4 shots instead of just the 2 now. For only 2 points.
It's awesome and it gives options. It doesn't have to just be for bombs, it works for all bombs, missiles, and torpedoes that are equipped.
The plasma torp can be really good as can the adv homing missle, we just don't know yet.
The only way to fix the wave 1-3 ordinance is errata I think, or some kind of cost improving title card.

Getting more shots with missiles/torpedoes doesn't address the problem with them. You just get more of the same bad investment.
Loading up a Tie Bomber with tons of ordnance would just invite it to be blasted to pieces before it gets it's shots.

It's true that Plasma Torps could be awesome. I think Adv. Homing Missiles at best is good and well balanced, but situational - Not ideal for generics.
