I don't understand who this bloke is. I wondered if the 'Talon' part might somehow be connected to Talon Karrde (who is the one EU smuggler character I've really come across - kind of the guy Lando wants to be) but it seems to just be a coincidence.

See I have had an issue with the complete randomness of PS from the get go. Biggs should at least be a 7 he's a friggin ace for cryin out loud and to put Luke at an 8 is utterly stupid. He can fly circles arround other PS 8 pilots. Also I have felt for a long time that a Han Solo/Chewbacca flown Falcon should be at least a PS 11 without VI. Like if you just have Han but do not take Chewie then he stays a PS9 but if you take Chewie he goes to PS11 and vice versa If you have Chewie and take Han he goes to PS7. And then don't even get me started on Corran Horn. He is the only Rogue to join with his own X-Wing prior to joining to put him in an E-Wing is streatching for pilots. I also would like the ability to have a Rogue Squadron title allowing a boost to the X-Wing stats. And finally the YT 1300, yes it is a big cumbersome ship but not the "FALCON" it is "The Fastest Hunk of Junk in the Galaxy" and if you watch Han fly it it is a lot more manuverable than FFG gave it. I understand the base YT 1300 sucked But not the Falcon. (and before anyone mentions the TIE's flying circles around the Falcon in ANH remember in that scene they were making thr run up to lightspeed and in order to make that run you have to stay on course at a steady speed in order to plot the jump. Chewie was not manuvering on purpose, Watch the Falcon (flown by Lando no less) out fly TIE/in's in RotJ, or the new Trailer)

Edit: for the Scum Pilots I would wager Boba as the Best but if they had to have a PS9 Mara Jade and the Jade Fire would fit nicely I think.

Not in my opinion. The mechanics of the ships we're seeing in Wave 7 are better than anything we've seen in a while IMO. Much better than what they did with the Phantom, which wasn't bad, but did need a tweak or two.

As someone has already stated, by giving this guy 9 pilot skill FFG is saying he's as good a pilot as Vader, Han, Soontir Fel, and Wedge and a better pilot than Luke, Boba Fett, and a ton of other amazing pilots. Hope they come to their senses and drop him down to at least 8 before release.

To be fair, if you only watch the movies, Soontir Fel is as much of a no-name as Talonbane Cobra. I have pretty limited E.U. exposure, and had never heard of him until I started playing this game.

Lando seems to be a better pilot than Han, he manages to navigate the 2nd DS while Han has Chewie fly shuttle to a planet. Boba Fett does little more then fly from point A to B.

Evading 3 star destroyers isn't difficult, and he got the falcon pretty shot up by those ties. I'll give you the asteroid field though.

Little? Someone flew Slave 1 from the ISD to Bespin and then to Tatooine, we don't even know if he was the pilot. The Clone Wars clearly established that Slave 1 has room for more than one person in it.
