Yes. It's kind of ugly. Yes. It is reaching far into the EU. Yes. It isn't exactly a rebellion ship but a New Republic one. But lore isn't a massive part of X-Wing and the style of the ship albeit ugly is still a star wars feel slightly reminiscent of the Republic gunships of the Clone Wars. But I'm not here to talk design I'm here to talk about ability! This ship has a host of potential, being a superior ship to the Y-wing in almost every fashion, running 1 or even 2 of these ships may not be a bad idea. It runs only a few points higher than the Y-wing and with a much better load out for ordinance. This ship can hold every card you can dream it to hold! Then it adds an even bigger punch by adding extra munitions to it! this gives you a massive ordinance that allows you to tailor this ship to whatever situation you see fit. running it alongside other tanks like some B-Wings or the falcon, could be a great plan! Then even letting it run with the fast dogs like a swarm of A-wings, Z-95's or even an E-wing. This ship can easily slide its way into many squads and hearts if enough people will give it a chance.

Well said. I plan on running 3 and 1 fighter escort if possible, or at least 2 upgraded ones and maybe an ace pilot. If the named pilot for the K-wing is only 29 points i'm guessing the generic ones will be in the 20-25 point range. Running someone like Jake Farrell with chardaan refit may be possible. I know the A-wing isn't many peoples 1st choices but I think it will be fun.

A-wings are ALWAYS fun, in my opinion. Not always tournament competitive, but always fun. I ran Tycho with Prockets, Test Pilot, PTL, Daredevil, and Experimental Interface last time I played and I swear I felt like I could put him wherever I wanted.

I love the A-Wing! It isn't the best in tournaments but its fun to fly thats for sure! and it can even become competitive under the right person!

Yeah, I dislike the look of the thing, but if it performs well I think I will learn to stop worrying and love Extra Munitions.

Since I also play[ed] Attack Wing, one of the ships comes with an octagonal "No Attack" token, which I've been using for Corran. This one is better, and will alow me to sell off my STAW stuff as complete once again.
