Hi All,

I just went and bought a copy of Tannhauser!!! I am loving it... only played one game so far but i really like it. I have played Talisman since the early 80s and am a science fiction nut, so this game is just great i think. I made my girlfriend suffer through the first playing last night... she decided that i win after about 3 hours... (it was a slow first read through the rules), but looking forward to some hefty games in the future. Ihave been checking out all the extra stuff people make for this game... a million points guys! I loved all the fan made add ons for Talisman too...

But, I almost didnt buy this game, i read review on line that made it sound like a total luck based thing... quite critical... but in the end i couldnt resist the artwork and story line... and when i actually played it it was fantastic and it seems like there is ample stratagy involved. So, does this game get a bit of a bad rap from the game reviewers????

Anyway looking forward to some supremely geekish moments....

The biggest thing that gives this game a bad name is the lack of expansions.

Though this game is not my main game, it does get quite a few plays every month. ToY was a small company and could not put in as much as some other companies could have. Maybe with FFG at the helm maybe we will see more regular releases every year. Maybe something new ever 3 or 4 months.
