The Missile Boat introduced SLAM, it was first seen in TIE Fighter. We're not even sure the Rogue Shadow can cloak.

I kinda think the Missile Boat's too weird to put in the game, but I find it amazingly ironic that they introduce the SLAM with a Rebel ship instead of the one that canonically had it, particularly since there's such a clamor for a Gunboat. I don't see why they would, but it's almost like they're trolling the forum.

FFG has said that an attack of 1 was a mistake, so I was simply taking them at their word and using 2 as a floor.

K Wing canonically has a SLAM as well, its not an empire exclusive thing

I wouldn't be oppossed to the Rogue Shadow as I have said in other threads. As I have also said, I would not be surprised to get another cloaking ship after the changes to the cloak rules.

Sure, but The Empire made it.

This was the point of this whole thread. The Empire pioneered the technology with the Missile Boat. The Missilie Boat might be viable after a Wave 7 munition fix and introduction of the SLAM action. So I think that it might be in the pipeline. I would rather see the Missilie Boat's predessor, the Star Wing first, but either way, I wouldn't bet against it. Xwing Miniatures has historically been based off the old Lucas Arts video games(Tie Fighter, X wing, Rebel Assault 2, Dark Forces, etc.) and now we are getting into Galaxies with all the scum stuff. So a ship like the Missile Boat that played a part in one of those old games on which this game has drawn heavily from would not be a stretch.

That is a good point. Did the Missile Boat have Bombs though? Maybe the Missile Boat could include some cool new range 1 missiles so it could Slam across the board and fire its missiles(unless Slamming also disables secondary weapons) That seems different enough.
