So quick question. If these fixes allow for better munitions then what good will the little TIE Bomber have with all these new big kids on the block?
Or should I ask how is Wave 7 not power creep?

well for 1 Jonuus just found a place amongst the stars. His Howl ability for secondary weapons will be crucial.
2.) My guess is their point cost is closer than the cost of the highest/lowest cost bomber.
3.) They have 1 Agility vs the 2 of the bomber.
They will now be the cheaper option to spam bombs. Take loads of low-PS ones with Extra Munitions and some of the new bombs.
Bomb Swarm.
All the "fixes" that work for the Punisher fit just as well on a Bomber. Obviously we haven't seen the Punisher's dial yet but gaining 3 shields in exchange for losing an Agility dice looks a wash to me. I don't see how the Punisher obsoletes the Bomber at all.
I intend to fly both. I love my Tie Bombers and point for point they are still the best value. The cards that will help the "Rebel Spanker", :-) will also help the Tie Bomber. I can't wait to "GET SOME!".
Also with adv homing missiles being cheaper half the cost of homing missiles. Now would there ever be a reason to not use adv homing missiles over homing missiles. There looks like the real power creep.

Advanced Homing Missiles are only range 2, they're only attack 3, and we don't even know what the ability is yet. I'd say regular Homing Missiles still have a place.
We are likely looking at 21 pts for the base Punisher. So, 5 pts cheaper is going to be a huge benefit if you are looking at loading up a bomber. Plus, the change in agi and HP seems to be fair for the cost.
SableGryphon will probably try his 5x Scimitar + Prox mine list again, modified of course.
To me, Extra Munitions and the new ordnance will be great for the humble TIE Bomber. I wish that I didn't have to buy 4 Punishers to fly a 4 EM TIE Bomber swarm, but I'll live with it (or, I may not go for 4x Bombers, but have 2 Bombers plus other stuff.)
Tie Bombers are cheaper... but yeah. Punishers look like souped up Bombers. My poor Bombers aren't gonna see that much play are they. =(

If the cheapest Punisher is 21, then that's 5 points more than the cheapest Bomber. You can now run two Proximity Mines for that much. You can run two Proton Rockets for that much (and the Punisher is noticeably worse at Proton Rockets than the Bomber). You can almost run two Cluster Missiles for that much.
Frankly, I'm not worried about the TIE Bomber being pushed out of the game; I'm worried about people having few reasons to spend the extra points for the Punisher.

"Souped Up" doesn't necessarily mean "Better". If they cost the same points, then yes.
Among other things, it has the same attack power and 3 shields more, but is guaranteed to be more expensive and has only 1 agility.
Yes, it has boost, for some reason, but the Scimitar's spot as being the cheapest tank is still secure.

Something I read in the last couple of days said it had an extra engine in each pod. That's a lot of available thrust (hur, hur).

System. Upgrade. Slot.
Fire Control System with basically any missile or torpedo; and multiples thereof. Accuracy Corrector with Cluster Missiles. Advanced Sensors with Proximity or Cluster Mines. Enhanced Scopes with anything, to prevent your opponent from blocking and denying you target locks. And should you want to concentrate your bombing, Extra Munitions and two copies of Seismic Charges is 4 bombs for 6 points.
The new bombers are going to be expensive to field, even more so with upgrades. The old bombers will be a cheaper choice to getting some of these new upgrades on the table at a reasonable points cost. Instead of one decked out heavy bomber you could choose two moderately upgraded bombers.
These new bombers will definitely shake up Epic game play.
Yes, giving it a native boost plus a systems slot, just put the poor bomber in the graveyard I think. I hope I am wrong, but FCS on a bomber?
I think the punisher is the very epitome of power creep.
As for new cheaper ordinance- that really needed to happen. Obsoleting the proton torpedo is a lot different than sidelining a signature ship, but I am afraid that is what will happen to my beloved Bombers. I'd love to be wrong.

Enhanced Scopes with mines. Oooohhhhhh Yyyyyeeeaaaaaahhhhhhh
Umm, no. As this game has proven many times, cheaper tends to be better. Bombers are still THE cheap bomb carrier. And considering we have 3 new bombs, that might be a very key factor.

Then you're not paying attention. Again, assuming the cheapest generic is 21 points, the cheapest generic with FCS is paying 7 points for that privilege, leaving it less able to carry ordnance than a Scimitar would.
I'm not saying the Punisher won't have a role, but it's not like its advantages are coming along for free.
The Jonus + 3 Generic Bombers lists were always a lot of fun to fly, just not all that great. Now being able to double-up on assault or homing missiles to do a little more damage I think it might they might work out really well.
Jonus + Squad Leader = 24
Scimitar + Extra Munitions + Prox Mine + Assault Missile = 26
Scimitar + Extra Munitions + Prox Mine + Homing Missile = 26
Scimitar + Extra Munitions + Cluster Missile + Flechette Torpedo = 24
If Jonus, then Clusters (or Flechettes for price).
3 scimitars with Extra Munitions, Cluster Missiles, and Cluster Missiles
Captain Jonus
= 100 on the nose.
Expected damage is 2.25 per attack, times 6 attacks, + 1.5 damage from Jonus' attack.
This continues for 4 rounds, or until Jonus is dead.
In a single round, that's an expectation of 15 rolled damage.
Times 4 rounds, that's 60 expected damage.
ah. aHAHah. Haha.

Jonus, Scmict with Cluster/EM x3. Acad pilot would rip through bbbbz

One list's expected damage is higher than the other list's MAXIMUM damage.
I am suddenly fearful for my pitiful little band of Rebels...
