The Star Wing is a huge fan favorite, but every Imperial small ship has been a TIE of some sort. Will this be the wave that they break out of the TIE rut? The XG-1 is a prime candidate since it's prominently displayed in the RPG and in video games.

The VCX-100 is a long shot. Rebels have a lot of turret large ships. And the big question would be whether the named pilot would be Kanan Jarrus or Caleb Dume.

I dislike the Ghost - I think we have enough Rebel 360-degree fire arc ships.

But I like the others.

I've said it before, I sincerely hope that the jump master 5000 doesn't have a full turret but a secondary port and aft arc - as well as the ship having an asymmetric dial. Port bearings are green, where as starboard are white or red. I want a ship that has a weird movement and a blind spot. I want it to be a tricky ship to master. Flying like a shark circling its prey, occasionally taking a bite out of its prey.

They were called Rogue squadron in-film during the Battle of Hoth. So regardless, there is still a Rogue Squadron in canon.

Granted, they might not be an X-Wing squadron led by Wedge anymore.

That is true, though they were called Rogue Group. We don't know if this Rogue group is an air unit as previously been thought or that in includes ground troops or if it will factor into Rogue One.

However, we *DO* Have a conformation of Red Squadron - which seems to not be only x-wings if I remember Return of the Jedi correctly.

It's 4 times the length of a C90 Corvette. I seriously doubt they'll release a model that size.

Even when I would give my firstborn for the Gunboat, I think the Ghost could be a nice new mechanic for the game as they mentioned above: single ship squad!

It would come with a replacement system for the current MoV that isn't biased towards point fortresses.

But it could be the first multiattack, energy-using, non-epic ship in the game valid for tournament play!

Cost 60 points, naked.

3 energy storage.

Turret primary weapon attacks 3 red dice, range 1-2. Spend 1 energy to attack again (as many times as you have energy).

1 Agility, 10 hull, 5 shield.

Deployable and recoverable small ship. It could even fit on the bigger miniature! It could be similar to an A-Wing or Z95. Recovers 1 shield or discards 1 damage card per round while docked to the Ghost.

1 Team upgrade slot. 1 crew slot.

Action bar: Focus, Evade, Recover, Coordinate

Given the Wave 7 trends, the Ghost is superbly unlikely. Also, FFG doesn't want to get the cartoon art-style into X-wing, so they'd have to get a lot of upgraded art past LFL.

Oddly, the Havoc could be a Rebel ship, considering Nym seemed less like a pirate and more like a privateer for the Republic.

That suggests to me the possibility of an X-Wing repaint, maybe a closed s-foils (or Force Awakens) variant, Rogue Squadron pilots?
