I'm going all in here and saying that Wave 8 will have the Ghost, and introduce a Single-Ship option to the game. It'll be a really big ship, and will be probably something like 75 points. You'll have a ton of crew options - and it'll deploy the phantom like the Hound's Tooth deploys the Nashtah Pup.

Thus will be the dawn of the 1-ship list meta.

The Ghost isn't deployed... the Phantom is deployed. But I think it is an interesting idea.

Empire: TIE Avenger (small base)

Scum: JumpMaster 5000 (large base)

Scum: G-1A Starfighter (small base)

I'd have said Assault Gunboat, but FFG has made it clear they will only make TIEs.

Yeah, I walked into a conversation about the Missile Boat at Celebration. One of the devs ended up saying "I know why we *really* haven't made it yet," or something along those lines. I should have asked why. Have they made a statement on the matter? Well... if there's no Assault Gunboat or Missile Boat, I'd have to guess TIE Hunter. I want the TIE Avenger, too. But its stats would end up pretty much exactly the same as the TIE Defender. A TIE Hunter would... I guess end up like a faster TIE Fighter, but with a torpedo launcher (or two) and gun slot too (for Ion Cannons). They could do a TIE Scout, but with half the firepower of a TIE Fighter, I'm not sure it'd be able to hurt anything. Or I guess SWG and GB have more ugly TIEs to provide. ;-P

Play as Jedi Master Wolverine or Sith Lord Magneto as they battle for mutant kind's place in galaxy, or pilot the all new exclusive Imperial Thor-Class Dreadnought or Scum & Villainy Hulk-Class Freighter ships. Is your Spider Sense tingling? It will be, with all the all new Radioactive and X-Factor upgrade cards.

This was actually a remarkable delay and a stunning show of self control from the forums.

My predictions, and desperate hopes and dreams I've wanted for ages:

Imperial: XG-1 Assault Gunboat (with a missile fix for Defenders, A-Wings, TIE Advanced, etc., and a SLAM action for Imperials)

Scum: the CloakShape Fighter (with extreme customizability; two Illicit slots, new Illicit cards, two Modification slots, and discounts on mods, though a truly terrible maneuvering dial. One of the Illicits should be a 1-point single-use boost action, which can be performed even if it causes you to bump.)

Rebel: the Havok! I don't care if it was from Jedi Starfighter, technically prequel. I loved flying this ship in that game. A pretty decent multi-purpose heavy starfighter.

Rebel, barring the Havok: a Large-base ship we need is the Lady Luck and the Jade Fire (the SoroSuub Luxury Yacht) with Mara Jade as a Rebel pilot, Lando Calrissian as pilot, and various upgrade potential (perhaps the first turret upgrade for a large-base ship?). Lots of crew slots; perhaps discounts for equipping more crew members (since crew members is, after all, the purpose of the design). Could be the only Rebel ship with an Illicit slot? Who knows.

Looks like I didn't write down my predictions... but only my own game designs... oops

I wouldn't be surprised to see new stuff from Rebels or Episode 7 in wave 8. I know people said that for wave 7. I thought they were jumping the gun. The timing of wave 8 correlates a lot better with episode 7.

Weather it's wave 8 or not I would prefer to see them incorporate the new cannon material instead of dig deeper into the EU.
