I don't see why everyone's so surprised I've been saying letting ordinance fire more than once is how things would go for ages now.
Because this doesn't actually do anything to make missiles and torps more useful. "Great, I can pay a couple more points to take a second copy of a card I don't want one of." How is that fixing ordnance?
The problem with ordnance isn't the single shot, it's the inconsistency. You have to jump through so many hoops in order to reliably get a reroll or focus for them that you are pretty much always better off taking something else.
EM is a good card. I might go so far as to say that it is a very good card. But it doesn't fix the core problem most ordnance has of action efficiency. Everyone was expecting something that would fix that (and it is partially our fault for assuming too much), when we didn't get it then, of course, that is what everyone is going to talk about initially. It'll settle down.
I myself think this looks like a great wave. While the looks of the 4 ships vary from "meh" to "god-aweful ugly", the new mechanics, stats and abilities all look totally cool and fun to play with.
I just how they have additional fixes for missiles and torps in the works.
