I'm pretty sure the translation is:

"Cannot have restricted attachments.

Enters play exhausted.

Response: After <this guy> readies, heal 1 point of damage from an Ent character."

So like Wandering Ent, but with 1 more cost, 1 more WP, and the response ability. Booming Ent keeps getting stronger. Also, I love this art.

Ents are really getting awesome...

Hmm, I think I found a loophole with this guy already. Since there are no limitations on the response and he can use it to heal other Ents, you could use Spare Hood and Cloak to infinitely exhaust and ready this guy to get unlimited healing on Ents (specifically Treebeard).

Hopefully they fix that before it prints.

EDIT: I forgot that Spare Hood and Cloak exhausts, so this combo doesn't work.

Spare Hood and Cloak exhausts. You can ready this guy with Treebeard, sure, but that's a mechanic fully intended by developers.

Would that translate to "Wellinghall Custodian" (or something similar)? It's where Merry and Pippin stayed with Treebeard the night before the Entmoot.

The art certainly looks like he's in some kind of hall.

Treebeard doesn't have to exhaust to trigger this ability though. All you need is any other ready character with Spare Hood and Cloak while this new Ent is exhausted. Then:

1) Exhaust the other character to ready this Ent and transfer the cloak.

2) Exhaust the Ent to ready the other character and transfer the cloak (and heal 1 point of damage from any Ent).

3) repeat steps 1 and 2 until you have healed as much as you want from all Ents.

Once the cloak gets exhausted by its own ability, it cannot be used again that round to ready anyone.

You're missing the part in step 1 where the cloak exhausts as well as the other character, gets moved to this ent (Custodian of the Spring House) and remains exhausted until the refresh phase.

Indeed, Wellinghall Custodian will be the name in English I think. As for the card itself, I think it's awesome. The stats alone are worth the cost, considering Lore normally struggles for willpower. The healing ability is great for the ents as well. I'm really looking forward to making the ent deck!

Dang, 3 willpower for 3 resources? And in Lore? Only Pelargir Shipwright gives that all by himself, and he requires you to play a mono-spirit deck.

Fantastic ally! Low cost for 3WP and all-round great stats and ability. Looking forward to this.

edit: Does the ability target one specific Ent character, or all Ents in play? I'm guessing the former, and not like Silvan Tracker.

Ah, my bad. Shows you how often I use it...

If it was healing all Ents rather than 1 Ent I think it would be OP. However if its 1 then losing 3 willpower for 1 point of healing it quite a cost.

Yeah! Between Wandering Ent and this new one, Lore has received quite a willpower boast!

I know Spanish enough to tell that he heals one ent. And he enters play exhausted, so his willpower will have to wait. But still I think he is strong. Now booming ent can theoretically have attack of 12, which seems quite powerful (I know that he probably won't reach more than 7, but still...)

True, would be OP. But this is very powerful as it happens when he readies; you can use him for whatever purpose like questing with the 3 willpower and then heal. The ability actually encourages you to use him! So, you could defend with this guy against an enemy with 3 ATK and he takes at least 1 damage. Booming Ent is boosted and attacks. Then this guy readies and can heal himself, and you're good to go for next round.

Ah... I think I needed to finish my coffee before reading about cool new allies... ****! Hero Treebeard and a couple of these chaps could pump out a heap of willpower each round - especially if Elrond is in play.

I think this guy is very, VERY strong.

Like others said, 3wp in lore is amazing

And only 3 cost for those other stats?

Then he also has a great automatic ability to take damage off of treebeard!

And that combo with booming ent Olorin93 just stated above is just awsome.

I've already built a deck with this new guy and will probably proxy and try him tomorrow. I'm pretty impatient with these things.

I vastly prefer the Lore and Spirit spheres due to the healing and threat management but I'm sometimes left out of battles and in charge of placing progress and cancelling effects for others. But no more! Thank you for more combat support in these spheres, Matt and Caleb!

I agree that its great having increased options in the spheres :)

On a different note I find it amusing how much angst can be generated if Tactics gets any allies with willpower or pretty much anything that is deemed outside of the tactics sphere... yet the other Sphere's all get plenty non-sphere boosts, seemingly with much less angst. Such as how Ents have resolved the issue mono solo Lore decks had with willpower ...and increased their combat options.

Cool, I thought of something like this when created my custom 3-costed lore ent, but muy guy healed only himself and had reduction in stats instead of increase:

Yeah, but this one makes you spend entire turn worth of Lore resources (so, it takes a monolore to play him the exact same turn you have him), and then he gives you nothing until the next turn.

Escort From Edoras actually does 4wp for 2 resources, though he doesnt last very long that way.

And is Spirit, if I recall correctly. Lore has been severely lacking in WP - Gildor is good, but very expensive.

He's also Inglorion... I mean, unique.

Seems like a new age is coming. A new level up of cards (player cards and encounter cards)

Judging by this guy's collector set number, I think we can expect to see him in Across the Ettenmoors.
