As April draws its last 10 days, I'll be awaiting ANY news FFG decides to throw our way. BGG has advertisements for Wave 1, still as COMING SOON. As soon as a saw the ad I clicked only to be taken to the old Reb fleet article. Curses.

Armada is the only game I have been interested in buying for the past 2 years. I preordered in December. A February release was briefly teased at one point. Patience is a virtue, but I am tired of waiting but, more tired of no news from FFG. It's one thing to be a video game company like Blizzard and say, it will be released when it's done. It's another to be a board game company with units shipping across the Pacific and not tell where anything is in the process. You mean to tell me that FFG doesn't know exactly where their thousands of dollars worth of merchandise is? Absurd.

Thank the light side for Newt going out on a limb to tell us what he has heard or we would still be totally in the dark.

Anyhoo, excited for Wave 1's eventual arrival. It will be fun to get some friends to come over and try it out as a 2v1 or 2v2 if I can con enough people into it

FFG knows where their stuff is. They're just not ready to ship everything out yet. No doubt we will hear something soon, and the status page will get updated. We waited as long as we did for Armada. A few more days for Wave 1 won't kill anyone.

Maybe if I told them I only have a week to live becuase I got a terminal case of anticipation and the only cure is to receive my Wave 1 models do you think they will ship them?

So far no new updates regarding when Wave 1 is releasing other than late April/ early May. But I'm putting up a new post right now about some exciting news for Wave 2.

Yea. . . I am likely the minority here. . . But since I am buying Armada models for huge fleet engagements I have 5 of each Squadron pack on pre order along with a Victory, a Neb B, 2 Glads, 2 CR90's, and 2 AFM's. . . I know, I am silly.

I wish I had ordered more squad packs... Instead (plus 2 cores) I went with 2 nebs 4 CR90s 2 Glads 2 AF and 1 Vic plus 2 each squad packs. Added 1 AF 2 GSD and 2 each squads to the wave 2 order due to points increase but not sure if that is enough. I almost feel that rebs are selling short without 1/3 points in squads which forces Imps to pay for play until Raider comes out

Really loving this game. Even got my brothers wife to surge the edge of the playmat I made. Gotta 4x7 hotzmat felt deep starfield and fabric glued it to a 1/4" neoprene sheet. Durability and ease of xport of a full neo mat with the feel and look of felt!! Sure the edges aren't super sharp (hard to keep a straight line when surging apparently) but I think it looks awesome. Our house rule is "if it falls off edge it dies" the table is 3.5'x6' with rounded corners so proper balance is key There has been more than one game I have held my breath as a CR90 plays with fire.

I'm glad you guys are picking up my slack when it comes to buying packs. I promised myself that I would be sticking to one of each pack, and I think it might actually be true this time. Of course, I have been known to lie to myself quite often, so I might have to wait and see what I end up doing.

Same here. I'd love to get my hands on multiple Corvettes, Victories, ISDs, and fighter packs, but the prices are a bit too high for me to go so deep into building my ideal fleets. I'll likely be sticking to 1 of each ship pack and maybe doubles of the fighter packs. Unfortunately part if it will be whether I can consistantly get games in around here to justify many packs. At least 1 of each still satisfies my completionist/collector weakness.

I am kind of glad the Long Beach dock strikes delayed the Core set. Imagine if we had to wait 3+ months for Wave 1 instead of (hopefully) just 1-2 months!

I am dreading the cost of wave 2. I was planning on spending that money during my summer vacation... Now I want to buy $$$ of wave 2.

I also can't wait. Recieved the game as a birthday gift from the wife. Have yet to play a game, but I want all the models! Good thing I also recieved plenty of money, too...

No doubt they will have a news announcement when Wave 1's status changes. May 4th seems like an obvious possibility, although I hope it's sooner than that.

Generally, my FLGS gets FFG stuff on Thursdays. Considering they aren't 'off the boat', my assumption is the first week of May.
