Please show up, Wave 1!

By Lord Ashram, in Star Wars: Armada

I bought 7 core sets, I shop at Shapeways to get the minis for armada and then go to my trusty laptop and make my own cards and dials easy to do. Even 2-3 sets

can give you enough stands to do something. I am 50 years old if I wait for FFG to ship everything on time I will be pushing more than ships around. Surprise what you can do from surfing and using MS Paint and EXCEL program. I have the cash my mates don't but they make all their own stuff. I have cards for Imperial Nebulon B,, CR-90 and I have finished one for the TIE Defender.. So use creativity and a hour or two and whallah you have new figures.I don't do the tourneys just game with my mates far more fun.

I am dreading the cost of wave 2. I was planning on spending that money during my summer vacation... Now I want to buy $$$ of wave 2.

Wave one wa thankfully already paid for...

Actually Wave 2 is not so bad. I wil likley get 1 ISD and MC80 to start and then follow it up with 3 MC30's and 2 Rouge Packs because you never know if both players want to use the same Rogues (I am looking at you Boba and Han :P )

I dont go for the cheap route like everyone else, I am a giant fan of supporting my FLGS's here in Portland Oregon. So I will be spending what. . . near $200 on wave 2. Hmmm much better than my $440ish on Wave 1. . .

That reminds me of the guy who bought 3 CR-90s and 3 GR-75s for X-wing.

My entire playgroup is waiting for wave one. Fantasy Flight made it seem so cool and then they don't release it. <_<

But we will undermine the wicked plan and continue to pour money at them for the good of American Pie. *insert Team America theme song here*

Coolstuffinc has the dice pack listed as now available and in stock. I'm hoping Wave 1 is close behind.

I was burnt horribly by the online place I ordered from and went so far as to gloat on these very forums about my Core and Gladiator arriving.

Of course when I went to pick it up... it was just the core set even though the packing slip said both.

I felt really bad about that, then angry.. then sad.

With so many people waiting to pounce (besides the ones who already pre-ordered) I hope they have enough stuff coming off the boat to supply the Wave 1-starved community. I hope it doesn't go the way of the Nintendo Amiibo for the first couple weeks. ;)

Move to Australia, then you can wait while the boat, that came from China, steams back the way it came to drop of your little bit of this addiction.

Over time you just get to the point where the mantra is "It gets here when it gets here."

Amanal: and Im not on the good side of Australia either. I just find it funny, that it ships from China to America, gets repackaged and then ships over to Sydney, where it again is shipped around the coast to Perth.

sigh.

... 2 Rouge Packs because you never know if both players want to use the same Rogues (I am looking at you Boba and Han :P )

If i got that correctly they said somewhere that the models in the rogue squadron pack "will be made of material colored so that it fit the faction they belong to." or something along those lines. so i concluded that each model in the pack can only be exclusively used by imperial OR rebels.

But you can play a few of the same Ship, when you use the non-unique squadron card. Thats why I'll be getting 3 of those packs.

aha. thanks.

I got my shipping notification from Miniature Market yesterday - does anyone else use them? I don't want to get my hopes up too much since no one else is freaking out but it's got a tracking number and a few "package received" and "package departure" notifications.

Sounds like it might be coming in sooner than we thought!

In an attempt to not get my own hopes up (I ordered from cardhaus and so far no notification), is it possible you have any other orders that they could be shipping?

I can't imagine that ffg never updated their armada products on the upcoming page to not only reflect shipping now but also available now....

A new hope, there is another. Despite the wait, hopefully we'll have a decent armada scene here in Perth.

I can't either. However, I do know that MM ships everything at once so while some of the product (bag and foam to carry everything) was in stock, their policy is to hold the order until they can ship it in one package. I'll be sure to post an update on Friday when it arrives.

I really hate to be too optimistic but with all the SW news floating around, it's getting difficult :)

I evoke you; emerge now, wave 1!

That makes three of us in Perth.......so when are we getting together???

I'm going to the TGA in East Vic Park this Sunday because I know some one there that plays Armada.

Why? More power to him. I shouldn't ask why I mean if you want 1 or 10 have at it.
