So that unknown action on the K-Wing. The only speculation I've seen is that it is like a boost, perhaps a boost+TL, but I can't buy that exactly. Being "boosty" makes sense from the fluff, but I don't think FFG has made a history of such lazy design. Aside from that, it doesn't help a bomber be a bomber. The boost+TL combo might, but it doesn't seem right. Action combos have been reserved to upgrade cards and pilot abilities to date (PtL, IG-88, R7-T1, etc).
So here is what I'm thinking - it is a stored action, like TL or Cloak. Bank the token and spend it later to get some sort of "boost". This would allow low PS bombers to push into range and then grab a TL. It might be a 2 forward boost instead of a 1-FWD, or perhaps you can double a straight maneuver as the fluff suggests. Or maybe a "continue along the same bearing" kind of thing (that is, if your maneuver is a 2 bank left, you can spend your SLAM token to boost 1 bank left, but not straight or right). Or perhaps, you can only spend it to move straight forward, but it can be at 1 or 2 speed? My bet is on the last one, given that the icon seems to look like a double arrow.
Any thoughts?
