What about a ship that allowed you to choose what size base you would use? was just thinking about all the weard tweaks, manuvers etc.. Dont know what kind of mechanic it would be intrepreting but it would be different..

If you play D&D Attack Wing, the Wyvern unit has an adapter. The model has a small-stem opening in it, but it's a large-base unit.
